Thanks to our friends at 20th Century Fox and Weta Digital, we got the chance to speak 1-on-1 with Alita: Battle Angel's Rosa Salazar and ask her a few questions about her role as Alita in the film!

Check out the interview below, along with additional details about the anime adaptation.

One of my favorite things about the interview was Rosa's sense of humor and attitude! She was very upbeat, positive, and just plain fun to be around  She is very in touch with her character and embraces Alita's personality very well. I can't wait for you guys to see her performance as Alita in Alita: Battle Angel, because she does a killer job and knocks it out of the park.

Thanks to 20th Century Fox we also have a closer look at what happens behind the scenes of the film with Weta Digital!

About Alita: Battle Angel:

From visionary filmmakers James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez, comes Alita: Battle Angel, an epic adventure of hope and empowerment. When Alita awakens with no memory of who she is in a future world she does not recognize, she is taken in by Ido, a compassionate doctor who realizes that somewhere in this abandoned cyborg shell is the heart and soul of a young woman with an extraordinary past. As Alita learns to navigate her new life and the treacherous streets of Iron City, Ido tries to shield her from her mysterious history while her street-smart new friend Hugo offers instead to help trigger her memories. But it is only when the deadly and corrupt forces that run the city come after Alita that she discovers a clue to her past – she has unique fighting abilities that those in power will stop at nothing to control. If she can stay out of their grasp, she could be the key to saving her friends, her family and the world she’s grown to love.

Not sure why I’m kind of going into this hoping for the best but expecting the worst. Is this going to be another Valaria?

I’m sorta interested in this. This really get’s me an Avatar and Ready Player one feel. The world in the movie looks pretty interesting and the technology used in filming it looks like to play a big role, but I gotta feeling the story won’t be that good. Anyway, we’ll see how it turns out. Also, keep up the interviews CBM!

@GBest - I'm thinking about yeah. It's either Alita or Lego Movie 2

We got this in the UK last week. Being a huge Robert Rodriguez fan, I was excited to see it, but not expecting much. It blew me away; it's a really excellent action film that gets the pulse racing and has a lot of heart. Some of the emotional connections feel a bit rushed, but that's okay when the focus is on action. The ending was a bit of a let down too, but doesn't take away anything from the film as a whole. Solid 9 out of 10 for me.

This movie was downright incredible. All y'all who keep saying this will be horrible are in for a surprise. Definite must watch in IMAX 3D.

Just saw a screening. I admittedly wasn’t expecting much out of this movie, so I was admittedly surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie.
