Are you really comparing a mindless monster to a guy who's really smart? Come on...Godzilla destroying cities whilst fighting a monster was a given, Superman could have totally avoided that (not saying he destroyed cities but my point still stands) by moving the fight somewhere else.

Maybe not the best movie of the year, But it was the best movie experience I had this year. The theatre I was had plenty of applauding during scenes. Might of got caught up in the moment, But with that ending and the energy there... I loved it

Superman could not have possibly avoided all that destruction without having to snap Zod's neck sooner, and that would have led to people complaining about Supes killing him a LOT worse.

The destruction came across as bad to many people because of how callous Superman was and how it was never addressed or acknowledged meaning the level of destruction served little story or thematic purpose. Ultimately people hated Superman because as I said, he was cold and callous, whereas Godzilla is a animal limited intelligence.

Also, the Metropolis one is fair enough. Zod made his intent to kill people clear (despite the fact he never one tried to harm a person until he was restrained) but his actions for Smallville were inexcusable consider he did, without dispute, bring the fight there.

The writers of the horribly stupid excuse for a Superman movie destroyed the city. Superman and Zod were their instruments in doing it.


Man Of Steel sucked hard enough to earn a very comfortable living as a high dollar prostitute.
