Don't Expect To See Any Of The Original POWER RANGERS Cast Cameo In The Upcoming Reboot

If you were hoping some of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV series cast would show up in Lionsgate and Saban’s big-screen reboot, Walter Jones (Zack) has some news that may disappoint you...

When a classic or cult favorite TV series is given the big-screen treatment, the filmmakers will usually try to find room for a cameo appearance from an original cast member or two, but that won't be the case with the upcoming Power Rangers reboot.

Walter Jones, who played Black Ranger Zack in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, was a guest on the Audibly Exquisite Podcast, and revealed that neither he nor any of his castmates from that show were asked to appear in the film. "It’s not likely," said the actor when asked about the possibility of a cameo. "Unfortunately, we were not invited to be part of the film, which is confusing to me, but I’m excited about the film nevertheless."

How do you guys feel about this? Are you disappointed, or do you think it's best if the movie distances itself from the '90s TV series?

Power Rangers is set for release on March 24, 2017. You can check out some recent promotional images HERE.

Good. Their managers at McDs wouldn't let them off work to do cameos anyway.

Calling it now: Jason David Frank will be in it ...and probably requested that he be the only cameo. He has a past of being incredibly cut throat and petty just so he can be the face of MMPR nostalgia.

@Objectivelybiased - @Objectivelybiased - I always wanted the red ranger to wipe that grin off of the Jason's face. Man I'd pay for that. I always wanted the Red one to stay leader. http://www.snarksquad.com/2013/01/fifty-shades-darker-chapter-10.html
