More POWER RANGERS Set Photos Reveal 'Rita Repulsa's' Secondary Outfit; Plus Mysterious Objects Spotted On Set
We've seen a lot of Rita Repulsa in her green battle armor, but now new photos have surfaced of her in another outfit, likely the one she wore during her imprisonment. Plus, six objects have been spotted!
It's common knowledge that the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers television series kicks off following the release of Rita Repulsa, who had been imprisoned in a space dumpster for over 10,000 years and it looks like the upcoming 2017 reboot will be following a similar path in telling her origin story. New set photos have surfaced, courtesy of YVR Shoots, featuring Elizabeth Banks (Spider-Man) in a much more traditional-looking brown outfit, which is likely the costume she first makes her debut in. She's seen pictured below confronting Naomi Scott's Kimberly Hart before laying what looks to be a kiss on her, although sources on site said the scene featured Rita draining the life out of the five Rangers. It's being rumored that this incarnation of Rita Repulsa will also have ties to the Dragon Coin, which grants the Green Ranger powers, and that her green battle suit draws its powers from the aforementioned power coin. You can head over HERE for more photos!
On another note, the Thompson-Nicola Regional District Library System snapped the following photo revealing some very mysteriously colorful props that may give us a hint at which direction they may be leaning for the suits or at least what shade of color they may be using. It's hard to say what the objects are exactly, but they could really be anything from some sort of power coin display to candle holder if they're going that route to even maybe the front of the Rangers' motorcycles. Another interesting thing to note is that the six colors include red, blue, black, pink, and yellow, but the sixth color is a white/grey/silver instead of the classic green. Could this be a sign of the White Ranger? Check out the snapshot below:
