POWER RANGERS Honest Trailer Points Out The Problem With Taking Them Too Seriously

The Honest Trailer for Power Rangers is finally here and it doesn't hold back from taking aim at the movie's failings and the fact it gets the high school stuff right, but everything else wrong!

Power Rangers was one of the first 2017 blockbusters to disappoint but chances are that a sequel will happen and that, well, it will be every bit as bad. We'll have to wait and see on that front and in the meantime, we have the hilarious Honest Trailer for the first instalment. While the Screen Junkies team manage to find nice things to say about the high school drama side of things, the rest comes under pretty merciless fire. Needless to say, the whole Krispy Kreme debacle does not escape their wrath!

There's no denying that the movie made a lot of mistakes as even the show's biggest fans seemed to feel let down by what Lionsgate and Saban delivered. There is, of course, still time for it to be saved.

Whether or not that means a new director and writing team remains to be seen, but chances are the cast will be back. Here's hoping that when they do return, they're not all as cliched as this video says!

I didn't mind the movie, but it does get dangerously close to Transformers 4 levels of blatant product placement.

@MUTO123 - They wasted to much time on personal problems when they could have hired a shrink and in 2-3 days everything would have been ok but no...more drama less story.

film was lack-luster at best, so dark, stupid and the designs was shit. they didnt even use the zords much. Also in the mega zord, they dont come together when they combine. what the frick with that dance??

@RasAlGhul - What do you mean? That's exactly how they formed the megazord. Do you mean that we didn't see the combination process? I'm so confused.

I hope this gets a sequel. Now that back story is out of the way, we can get to the good stuff. Also, some asshat told me on Screenrant the movie failed because autism doesn't exist and the blue ranger plot doesn't make sense because of that and I want a sequel to spite him.

@noahthegrand - I believe he misspoke. The movie was BANNED in some countries like Russia due to Billy having autism.
