Robert Zemeckis of Back To The Future fame amongst others is set to take on Charles Fort over at Universal. Charles Fort is based on the 2002 miniseries 'Fort; Prophet Of The Unexplained', published by Dark Horse comics.

Fort was a real life expert on the unexplained and paranormal and wrote various books in the early twentieth century. Such books are 'New Lands' and 'Book of The Damned'. The film will put Fort in a fictional light and make him face paranormal entities.

Zemeckis is slated to produce at the time being but may well direct it depending on schedule. The script is written by Evan Spiliotopoulos and is scheduled for a possible 2012 release depending on his other projects.

I never understood why calling someone "the shit" is a compliment. In theory other expelled body waste products should work just as well. Zemekis is the snot, the piss, the spit and of course the sweat
