Yesterday, I treated you all to Neville Page's glorious Green Lantern Corps designs and today I want to share with you his creature designs for Star Trek and Prometheus.

The first gallery below features Neville Page's artistic contributions to Star Trek, which include background aliens, the strange beasts of Delta Vega, and variations of the facial makeup for Nero (Eric Bana) and his crew of Romulan miners. To see more of Neville's Star Trek designs click here.

STAR TREK (2009) was directed by J. J. Abrams, from a screenplay written by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. The cast included: Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Leonard Nimoy, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, Eric Bana and Bruce Greenwood.

In the gallery below you will find concept art that Neville created for Ridley Scott's Alien prequel, Prometheus. Those images include designs for Fifield's (Sean Harris) grotesquely mutated form, the look of the Engineers, and variations of Shaw's (Noomi Rapace) octopus-like offspring. PROMETHEUS was directed by Ridley Scott ("Blade Runner"), from a script written by Jon Spaihts and Damon Lindelof. The cast included: Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green and Charlize Theron.

What I love about Star Trek is that the effects were quite practical. Most of the characters were in makeup rather than CGI (cough-Green lantern-cough)

Visually, it's stunning. Concept-wise, excellent. Execution of the concept, terrible. Lots of plot-holes, but fassbender' performance is enough to bridge that gap, so, ya, it's worth a look.

I noticed that the guy who played Thanos in the Avengers is featured in that slideshow -- he's the black romulan with a variety of face tattoos.

Prometheus is a must-see, but like any movie, you've gotta be ready for suspension of disbelief. Really shouldn't hafta say that for a science-fiction film, but there's so many idiots on here that obviously can't tell the difference between enjoying a film and watching it just to find things to whine about. And there's nothing that happens in this movie that's any more "stupid" than any other sci-fi or horror movie. People NEED to do stupid things in order for anything exciting to happen in these types of films, really don't understand why some don't understand that, lol. And there are a lot of parts they don't spoonfeed you, but that's one of the things I liked about it, it actually made me THINK. Biggest surprise of 2012 for me, didn't even think I'd like it, Ridley Scott's films haven't been great for me in a long time, but it's an excellent film and return to form for Scott. So see it! Now! Or later!

Whats the point of all this creature concept art when if they werent going to use any of one (Star Trek)? Ok well one creature made it right? Still, I'd be pissed if I were the artist.

well,

by the end of the film you're kind of left with a great sense of "well, that was pointless"...

even the makers of the film seemed to kind of shrug of the movie and say "well, we'll tell you the REAL story in the sequel"

i suggest just giving it a quick read on wikipedia or something before you watch the sequel.

Prometheus was just kind of...meh. Would have preferred to see a prequel involving the Alien, or maybe just ALIEN 5. As for Star Trek... only a few more months until we get to see more pure AWESOMENESS!!!!

No wonder the engineer was hostile. One whiff of Fassbender dong and the guy goes on a rampage of insecurity.
