"We met yesterday. We had a big, endless meeting and I think we’ll have something to talk about very soon."

"I think within the next month or so we’ll be able to tell you what’s going on and when and all that. We’re working really hard and this is all to make sure that no one — cast, crew, most the audience – isn’t disappointed by what we do."

The sequel of Star Trek is currently being written by Bob Orci, Alex Kurtzman, and Damon Lindelof, while the original planned release date of June 29, 2012 has just fallen into the hands of G.I. Joe: Retaliation.

Great! Loved what he did with the first one and I'm not even a Trekkie fan!

This was also his mantra with Lost I believe.

@MrMurdockk Same here! I never did like Star Trek until I saw this movie, I was so hooked on it, I've seen the movie about 5 times already! And one of my good friends is a Star Trek fan and can you believe that I actually saw this movie twice before he did! lol!

@grif- Agreed man. It wasn't about 'taking their time to make the movie great' the problem was that Abrams and his writers took on other projects and prioritized those other projects over the Star Trek sequel.

Now it seems we gotta wait 4 years between sequels. Stupid abrams.

@Deadpool813- I'm a Star Trek-fan. I actually preferred the movie- "Star Trek: First Contact" over the 2009 film. But the 2009 one was still really good and i really enjoyed it. I just wish Abrams wouldn't have moved sooooo slowly on this. It better be good and worth the 4yr wait, that's all I'm saying.

@teabag- What's your problem with TNG?? LOL. That was a great series. I grew up on that.

Worf alone could smack down anyone from TOS. :P

i like that they are making sure the sequel is going to be really good, but i am truly getting sick and tired of this wait to get it done.

@l0rdleg0las- Agreed! It is one thing to take their time to get it right. And another to just be completely ignorant to the fans who've been waiting patiently.

Cowboys and Aliens wasn't even all that good from what i heard...and yet Orci and Kurtzman kept us waiting on the Star Trek sequel for THAT. And Abrams with his Super8 gig...none of the people involved with the Star Trek sequel even seem to care. That's the one thing hindering this project in my eyes.

Abrams keeps saying month after month- We're meeting, we're getting stuff done, we're figuring stuff out. Give me a break Abrams. At least announce who the villain(s) are or at least tell us what the stakes are in this one. Keeping us waiting for 4 years without a single word on what's to come is ridiculous.

At least Nolan told us what villains he was using in TDKR despite the fact he also kept us waiting for 4 years. But at least he said something.

Hey guys ...sorry I'm late.

Is that fool still talking?

@Yourdaddydevilandlord - totally agreed, mate. he wants to make sure he has enuff lights to point at the camera to hide what a crappy sequel it will be.

I can wait, there is so much great star trek content to go back and revisit. Hollywood stop cramming so much media in my face. Slow things down, patience builds character, something most of us need a lot more of.

We get everything instantaneously these days, from instant play on netflix to microwaveable sex, its good to wait once in a while for something.

Just please get it right.

@JackBauer- Agreed bud. This wait is [frick]ing retarded.
