There has been a lot of uncertainty around just who exactly Benedict Cumberbatch is playing in J.J. Arbram's new
Star Trek film.
MTV have revealed two new set photos from the film which do nothing to answer that question either, but does show him wearing a black version of the Star Fleet uniform. The first photo shows Cumberbatch doing battle with Zachary Quinto, who is applying the Vulcan nerve pinch, as Spock aboard what is being described as a "space barge". Cumberbatch is able to get away from the Nerve Pinch which leads to the second photo of Zoe Saldana as Uhura coming in with a phaser to help.
Like previously stated these photos do nothing to give us an indication on who Cumberbatch is playing, but the fact that he is wearing a Star Fleet uniform is intriguing. Could he be a friend who has just gone rouge, or a enemy disguised as a Star Fleet officer. Sound off your thoughts in the comment boxes below.
