If the film's second trailer is any indication, it looks like Solo: A Star Wars Story is going to give us some backstory on how Han Solo got his famous blaster.
If this riveting origin story makes you want to get your hands on a Star Wars blaster of your own, and you happen to have a few hundred thousand dollars lying around, then you might be in luck.
One of the three blasters used by Harrison Ford during the filming of Return of the Jedi is being auctioned off at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, with the bids starting on June 23. The legendary smuggler's modified DL-44 blaster is expected to sell for somewhere between $300,000 and $500,000.
The blaster was made out of an actual gun, a Mauser C96 Broomhandle. Of course, several alterations were made to have the weapon look like something that belongs in the hands of a galactic smuggler like Han.
The auction was timed to coincide with the 35th anniversary of Return of the Jedi, with the timing of Solo: A Star Wars Story's release being a nice bonus.
