Ever since George Lucas began altering the original three Star Wars movies (Episode IV-VI) for the 20th anniversary Special Edition back in 1997, a discussion began among fans whether this was a good a rather bad. One hot topic of the discussion was Lucas’ editing of the Han Solo vs. bounty hunter Greedo pick exchange in Mos Eisley in Episode IV. Fuel to the fire was added when George Lucas began releasing the prequel trilogy in 1999 in which he told the origin story of one of the most iconic villains of all time, Darth Vader a. k. a. Anakin Skywalker. Many people complained that George Lucas with this new Star Wars projects focuses too much on the visuals rather than the story. Furthermore the character of JaJa Binks was another controversial topic.

So some die-hard fans that weren’t okay with all Lucas had done since 1997 decided to ignore the Special Edition as well as the Prequel Trilogy and stick with the unaltered original Star Wars versions – the Star Wars that they used to know. But nevertheless many of those would love to see or own those movie versions in latest quality standards on recent home video format i. e. Blu-ray. Unfortunately George refuses to do so, attracting even more hatred by those fans.

Now Teddie Films has released a YouTube video in the style of the famous music video by Gotye “Somebody that You Used to Know” addressing all those controversial topics regarding Star Wars. The video features Anakin Skywalker complaining about how he thinks George Lucas messed up Star Wars since 1997. Even George Lucas shows up addressing the fans that would love to own the unaltered original Star Wars movies on Blu Ray saying: “You'll never get a Blu-ray of the Star Wars that you used to know!”. So: If you are a die-hard fan of the original unaltered Star Wars trilogy this will be rubbing salt on your wounds – But probably in a good way. Check out the video below.

So what do you think about this spoof? Does it address the right topics, did Teddie Films miss some important aspects or do you actually like the Prequel Trilogy and the Special Edition and hence are fed up with all these discussions? Make sure to share your thoughts at the usual place.

Star Wars is an epic space saga in six parts featuring the young Anakin Skywalker who would after being corrupted become one of the most powerful people in the galaxy. He later rediscovers his good side and helps to safe the galaxy from the evil Galactic Empire he had helped to establish before.
