According to The Hollywood Reporter, Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is set to finish behind soppy teen flick If I Stay this weekend after a disappointing $475,000 debut yesterday evening. The Sin City sequel comes nine years after the first movie, and while that one did some solid numbers with a $29.1 million debut, this follow-up will likely finish somewhere in the mid-teens. As of right now, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For looks set to battle it out with football drama When the Game Stands Tall for #2, but depending on how things pan out, both of those movies could face some serious competition from Marvel and James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy and the Michael Bay produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, now in their third and fourth weeks, respectively. Are you planning on seeing Sin City: A Dame to Kill For this weekend?

That's what happens when you wait 8 years to release a sequel. I heard it's pretty shitty, so I'll just stay home.

I can see Alien's article headline for the weekend.

"Sin City makes more in it's first weekend than GotG in it's fourth, GotG officiallly underperforming"

This style of film appeals to a very small demogrpahic, in which the core is comic book fans. Being R-rated also limits the audience. The low numbers don't surprise me.

@ BlackandYellow

Well I need to because my boys are lucky to even go 8-8 this year so I might as well put together some winning team.

On a side note I cannot believe my Cowboys are worth 3.5 billion and have nothing to show for it since the mid 90s!

Yeah. First movie had a few books. I think the correct chronology was: That Yellow Bastard, The Big Fat Kill, and The Hard Goodbye.

LMAO Joe. After last night's pitiful performance by the Steelers offense and defense I'm not feeling great about the season. Fantasy will be the only chance I have of enjoying the season.

I went to a midnight (9 pm) show last night, the theatre wasn't even half full....or half empty?

Anyways, the movie was decent, a collection of amusing scenes. Levitt was really good, Eva Green was way too hot and naked for 75% of here scenes!

People outside of teen girls are going to see If I Stay? I watched the trailer and purposely had to go out of my way to wipe it from memory, looks like utter crap.
