Screen Rant caught up with Emma Stone while she was promoting her new movie The Help, where she talked about what the draw to playing Gwen Stacey in The Amazing Spider-Man was, as well as revealing that most of Gwen's involvement in the film is with Peter.

"I was drawn to that part because I really liked what happens between Gwen and Peter and so I’m excited about that. That’s pretty much what my involvement is, is with Peter, and I think Andrew is incredible so that was really wonderful for me. And then I’m also excited about — and this is kind of weird…Well, I guess it’s not weird, but I think it’s really interesting to be a part of something that so many people hold close to their hearts, that so many people grew up with. To get to like be involved in this world of passionate people."

She also talked about how excited she was for this months San Diego Comic Con.

"Comic Con is one of my favorite places in the world. I got to go for Zombieland and it is just a full convention center of people who care so much, and that is incredible. I mean maybe just as an actor passion is so exciting and all that emotion. I mean it literally buzzes, being in those convention rooms with 5,000 people, it’s buzzing. And to be a part of something that has that kind of passion, and that kind of enthusiasm behind it is kind of a cool, exciting thing.”

The Amazing Spider-Man hits theaters on July 3, 2012!

After all that crap Josh took about Green Lantern finishing 9th yesterday, the stupid film gets knocked into 10th place by Mr Poppers Penguins after they counted up the official weekend box office! What a flop!

i love emma stone and all, but it looks like they just picked the new hot girl in Hollywood to play her. She's honestly one of the last people i'd pick to play Gwen.

@fsucsu: Since when are trailers and images advertised as "Coming this fall..." that phrase is more associated with the film itself. Your ignorance is hilarious.
