SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Just Got An Earlier Release Date In The United Kingdom

Marvel Studios is once again favouring the UK, as it's been revealed that Spider-Man: Homecoming is now swinging into UK cinemas even sooner than it reaches North America. Read on for details!

Marvel Studios frequently release their movies first in the UK, and while some fans have claimed that the country shouldn't receive such "favourable" treatment from Disney, it's usually a result of when school holidays fall on the side of the pond (which is why Wonder Woman releases there on June 1st).

Now, it's been revealed that Sony Pictures - and presumably Marvel - has brought Spider-Man: Homecoming's UK
release date forward from Friday, July 7th to Wednesday, July 5th. Two days!

That's not exactly the end of the world, but it's going to make avoiding spoilers pretty tricky for fans.

While everyone's attention is currently on Wonder Woman, Spider-Man: Homecoming will no doubt soon become the focal point as it's clearly going to be one of the biggest movies of the summer.

What do you guys think of this release date shift? Let us know that in the comments section below!

@ossie85 -

I don't understand why this is, surely it means that some people will stream as soon as a good copy comes online?
Is it the same with all shows?

@ossie85 - We've been good with marvel movies of late. We usually get them a week early which pleases me to no end. Also Agent Carter is on blu-ray now

Same day as Sweden as well! Marvel usually does this to get the positive word of mouth out to the American audience before release

@Bokis -

Exactly.The American audience is more jaded then the international ones
regarding tent pole films. Marvel has figured out that a lot of Americans
won't plop down their hard earned cash unless the new film is validated
by positive feed back. If they hear stories of a big opening in Europe,
they will feel the need to show up to see what the big deal is.

OFF TOPIC
Anyone wanna talk about the arrow finale?
ManDeth
ManDeth - 5/25/2017, 2:16 AM
@MexicanCipher - Worst parts about it: Felicity did not die. I was very disappointed. Chase had been the master planner for so long but his main goal was to die and have bombs go off killing Oliver's friends & family the moment he dies. What a stupid plan.

So why the hell did he do things that convinced Oliver to not kill anymore before putting Oliver in that situation?

There were some entertaining things in the episode but the overall plot was a huge mess. They could have had a better ending to Chase's story if it did not have to lead to a cliffhanger. Chase's endgame, killing himself and bombs all over the island were the worst part of the episode.

They should also have the balls to do a finale that does not include all of the regular cast. It would not have hurt for the episode to have been more personal between Oliver and Chase instead of the forced idea Chase wanted all of them on the island.

@ManDeth - Fair enough critisms, i personally thought it was quite good, MUCH BETTER than the flash finale. But i cant really argue with anything you said.

I feel like if they had another episode they could have stretched it out. Then just have oliver and maybe slade agaisnt prometheus.
