SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Stills Feature The Webhead In Action And A New BTS Look At The Vulture

Yesterday was pretty jam-packed with new details on Spider-Man: Homecoming thanks to multiple sites running their set visit reports at the same time, so we decided to hold off on sharing these new stills for a few hours.

The first comes courtesy of Yahoo, and gives us a new look at Spidey (Tom Holland) in action as he attempts to stop The Vulture (Michael Keaton) from destroying the Staten Island Ferry. This scene is also teased in the recent trailer, and we know the situation gets a bit much for The Webhead to handle as Iron Man shows up to lend a hand.

The other image is a behind-the-scenes shot of Holland, Keaton and director Jon Watts. You'll notice that Peter Parker is back in his home-made costume after Tony Stark confiscates his new hi-tech duds.

UPDATE: we also have a couple of new promo images featuring Spidey and his civilian alter-ego.

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into theaters on July 7.

The movie is looking great. Can't see all the CGI on the suit some of you guys see.

@Fogs - agreed. People have become so cynical about every damn CBM. How about we just enjoy them for what they are. You know, the comics coming to life for us to enjoy.

@chewie - Agreed. We can't control how much CGI is used, so even caring about it will decrease the odds of us enjoying the film. So, I don't look for it, as I am NOT a professional film critic and I don't want to adopt ANY habits that hinder my enjoyment of films.

HYPEEEEEE I hate how alot of people suddenly hate the movie because of spoilers. Watch the movie and THEN tell me if it spoiled a lot.

I know. That didn't make any sense. But, I rarely do.

@BillCipher999 - I just love the cartoonish look. Instead of them trying to make him look grounded and real, they just went full comic-booky on him.

@KWilly - The eyes, bro. The best thing about this version is the animated eyes.

@Fogs -

Whoever had the idea for the eyes being like that to filter out sensory input should be give a million dollars from Disney.

XelCorp

@KWilly - it also makes him look so much more fluid as Spidey. Marc Webbs Spider-Man tried to be way way too [Frick]ing practical at times especially in the first one and Spidey just ended up almost looking like a just above avg parkour which he should be way more then that.he just looked so stiff in certain scenes and came off bad

@XelCorp - Ehh, I don't agree on the Marc Webb thing. That movie made Spidey look incredible.

@XelCorp - Sounds like yer describing the Sam Raimi Spiderman, in which the line between limber, agile, cg Spidey and Tobey Maguire's body language is as thick as Queensboro Bridge
