Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was met with universal acclaim when it opened in theaters last weekend, but there have been some complaints about sound mixing issues.
Many moviegoers have pointed out that the dialogue during the sequel's opening sequence is extremely difficult to hear over the score, while there are several other moments throughout which similarly don't sound quite right. Despite Sony Pictures saying the problem was isolated to only a "handful of theaters," they are now doing something about it.
According to Variety (via Toonado.com), "all the prints" of the movie have now been updated in order to deal with the issue.
This isn't uncommon and even some Marvel Studios movies have seen updated prints sent out with improved visual effects in the weeks after first opening.
While the sound issues by no means spoiled the experience of watching Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, this news is sure to be welcomed by those of you who were left struggling to hear everything that was going on in those early Spider-Gwen scenes.
