SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE Concept Art Reimagines Many Of The Wall-Crawler's Most Sinister Foes

New Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse concept art reveals how much the web-slinger's foes would have differed in the scrapped Bar With No Name post-credits scene, and you can take a closer look here...

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was packed full of Easter Eggs, references, and cameos, but one of the biggest ended up on the cutting room floor. Early plans called for a post-credits scene to take us to The Bar With No Name, a classic location from the comic books.

It's there Spider-Man's villains tend to hang out...and where they typically take a beating from the web-slinger, of course.

In this scrapped stinger, The Spot was supposed to show up, laying waste to his fellow supervillains before pouring himself a drink...which would have leaked out of each of his holes. Now, a first look at some of the classic comic book baddies has been revealed (via Toonado.com) and they all look drastically different!

Shared by Kris Anka, we see startling new designs for Big Wheel, a literal Doctor Octopus, Shocker, Beetle, and Mysterio. This serves as a reminder of how few villains have actually appeared in this Spider-Verse franchise so far and the sort of threats Miles Morales might face when he battles the Sinister Six Cartel.

Check out this Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse concept art in the Tweet (or should that be "X"?) below.

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn's full-time, friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence.

But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

The movie stars Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Karan Soni, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Greta Lee, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone, Shea Whigham, and Oscar Isaac.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is now playing in theaters.

Wish we got something similar to that Shocker design in Homecoming.

@ModHaterSLADE - I get the feeling it's a mild reference to that and the supposed leaked pics of Shocker that circulated before Homecoming's release

I've been keeping up with all of Kris Anka's tweets, they are great.

He also occasionally shares some designs from My Adventures with Superman which has been nice so far.
