SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Concept Art Gives Peter Parker Literal "Underoos"

Tom Holland's Peter Parker made his MCU debut in 2016's Captain America: Civil War when Tony Stark recruited the teenager to his team of pro-Sokovia Accords heroes.

Marvel Studios never really delved into the morality of Iron Man asking a child to fight the likes of Captain America and Ant-Man for a cause he arguably had no stake in. However, we'll put that down to the web-slinger's inclusion in the movie being relatively last minute!

Regardless, Spider-Man was Tony's ace in the hole, and when he introduced him to the rest of The Avengers, it was as "underoos." Now, concept artist Josh Nizzi has shared a Spider-Man: No Way Home suit design featuring a nod back to that scene.

After turning his suit inside out, Peter would have discovered literal underoos (likely placed there by Tony as a joke). Another version shows the hero's suit losing its stability and becoming baggy just like in Spider-Man: Homecoming

Why didn't either of these make it into the final cut? There could be any number of reasons, but like "Karen," the latter idea was ditched in Spidey's subsequent MCU appearances. As for the underoos, their presence arguably wouldn't have made sense when Peter designed this suit himself in Spider-Man: Far From Home

Still, they're both fun ideas and we'd recommend heading to Josh's Instagram page to check out more of his amazing artwork. In the meantime, you can check these out in the gallery below!

In Spider-Man: No Way Home, for the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighbourhood hero's identity is revealed, bringing his superhero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk.

When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.

The movie stars Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, J. B. Smoove, Benedict Wong, J.K. Simmons, Alfred Molina, Jamie Foxx, Willem Dafoe, Thomas Haden Church, and Rhys Ifans.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is now available to buy wherever you get your movies.

Yeah, why would the suit have built in underwear?

Either that or Peter just decided to put his undies over his inside out suit just for the sake of humiliating himself.

But then again, they did think it was smart to have all those exposed wires on the side of the suit intended to be in contact with his skin.
