SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME "Honest Trailer" Drops Some Hard, Hilarious Truths About The Threequel

The "Honest Trailer" for Spider-Man: No Way Home has finally arrived, and it doesn't hold back when it comes to highlighting some of the threequel's less than spectacular moments or creative decisions...

Spider-Man: No Way Home delivered its fair share of iconic comic book movie moments, and it's no wonder many fans have hailed it as a masterpiece. There were some flaws if you looked hard enough, though, and it's those elements Screen Junkies is focused on in this hilarious new "Honest Trailer."

They praise plenty of what did work (including Willem Dafoe's superb performance as the Green Goblin), but rightly point out that The Lizard and Sandman were just...there. Neither bad guy brought much to the table, and we'd be inclined to agree that Dr. Curt Connors' reptilian side somehow looked worse in 2021 than he did the first time he appeared on screen in 2012.

This trailer also makes some damning criticisms of Aunt May's death and the fact that Spider-Man: No Way Home features so much fan service. As per usual, this is all in good fun and they struggle to pick out too many flaws with the blockbuster. However, we can't entirely disagree with the assessment that Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange wasn't exactly on top form in this movie!

"Spider-Man: No Way Home is the greatest Marvel movie ever made. Period," we exclaimed in our review last December. "As epic as it is emotional, this is not only a perfect blockbuster, but Spider-Man’s wildest, funniest, and most awe-inspiring adventure yet. It's a Marvel masterpiece."

Rewatched it last night! Really great movie, very emotional. I hate that Peter is all alone now though.

After rewatching it I've lowered my score to an 7.5-8/10 but still extremely enjoyable.

I must admit nostalgia got me at first but damn it's so rewatchable 😭😂 I want more multiverse stuff! I honestly feel like DR strange 2 is gonna be 2022's the next highest grossing film.

@TheClungeMan - Agreed, it’s definitely between Doctor Strange and avatar, if the power of nostalgia helps that movie that is, if not, then strange for sure

@TheWalkingCuban - 🤔🤔🤔 yeah this will be interesting, 3D has kind of come and gone since avatar. I wonder if the GA will even care

@TheClungeMan - 3D pops back up every so often, like Pennywise, or Jeepers Creepers, just waiting… waiting… for the right movie to capture the zeitgeist…

I remember when these things were funny. DaFoe did give one of the best performances though

I wonder if anyone remembers that *the line* was not actually spoken in the comic.

@EskimoJ - I'm not going to dignify your stupidness with an answer.

I like this movie. A lot. It was a lot of fun in the theatre.

But I gotta say that Homecoming and Far From Home were better films overall.

Glad to see some people actually giving honest opinions about this movie now that the hype died down. It was fun and enjoyable, but definitely not better than a 7 or 8 out of 10.
