"It's not happening right now, but Hollywood is very volatile so you never know," Drew Goddard said when Crave Online asked about Sinister Six, which he was attached to direct before Sony Pictures teamed up with Marvel Studios for another Spider-Man reboot. "On the off-chance we actually get to make it one day I want to keep it sort of quiet, but it was the epic Spider-Man movie of my dreams. Yeah, no, look, I loved it. We were deep in pre-production when the Sony hack happened and it was sad to see everything go down. But welcome to Hollywood."

Later during the interview, Drew Goddard was asked about departing from the Daredevil series as showrunner and he also confirmed working on season 2. "I'm still there, we were just in the writers room the other day, talking about season 2," he revealed. "The good news is just I wasn't the showrunner, but all my friends are - we turned over season 1 to Steven Deknight and now Doug and Marco are doing season 2. And it's a joy because I just get to show up and talk about Matt Murdock which is what I love to do. The show's in great with those guys and when they need help, I fly on in." What do you think?

Heard the story plan was horrible. Apparently was going to feature Spider-Man, Black Cat, Sinister Six AND Venom

Plus Spider-Man gave up the symbiote because the villains were "teasing" him? lol

I do hope someday that there is a Sinister Six movie, with Spider-Man.

That would be epic.

To me I think they could even introduce some villains into the other Netflix shows, maybe even have Spidey show up, or they could even make a Spidey Netflix show in addition to the movies.

I know I'd watch it and everyone else would too.

Knowing he trusts the new showrunners for DD season 2 and that his knowledge is still being absorbed, has me excited for season 2

"Can you imagine Rhino and Electro having a conversation in that universe?

Good lord"

It would have the much-coveted achievement of being worse than this:

Oh dear God just let him write a Spider Man movie for Marvel, maybe they Jon watts can do a trilogy and leave it on a cliffhanger, but have drew already film and write another spiderman movie so it comes a year after release of the third film. idk, just some thought, they better keep him around along time.

Hopefully it gets to be made and this time takes place in the MCU.

I'm just glad that Goddard didn't seem to commit career suicide by dropping out of Daredevil AND The Martian in order to hitch his wagon to Sinister Six. That kind of decision would've destroyed the career of a lesser talent.

Sinister Six didnt sound very good. The reboot story didnt have one villain in it that people wanted to see again.

It may have been the Spidey movie of his dreams, but for everybody else it probably would've been the Spidey movie of our nightmares *badum tss*

So it makes sense why Goddard dropped out of Daredevil but why did Deknight?

@sKeemAn

But you don't know anything about that movie except for the potential villains.
