Incredible Concept Art From Sam Raimi's SPIDER-MAN 3

Some brilliant new concept art has hit for the Sam Raimi directed sequel Spider-Man 3, from the mind of Kasra Farahani (Avatar, Alice in Wonderland). The art features Gwen Stacy's roof fall, as well as New Goblin, Sandman and much more. Hit the Jump.

While Spider-Man 3 may not have been the best of comic book adaptations, it certainly had some great visuals. One of the many talented artists working on the film was Kasra Farahani. He delivered some great concepts for the film, and now we're sharing them with you.

Peter Parker is finally getting some respect as Spider-Man is now being looked to as a hero of the city. But all is not well in NY. A new villain arrives in the form of Flint Marko a.k.a. The Sandman. His body is entirely composed of sand which he uses to devastating effect. Not only that, but Pete is having to defend himself against a newly super powered Harry Osbourne, who has taken up his Father's Green Goblin memorabilia and is using it to exact revenge for his Father's death! And if that wasn't enough, a symbiotic space alien has taken over the Spidey suit, imbuing Spidey with more power, but heightening his aggression. At work, Pete is competing with an upstart photographer who will become (with help from the evil suit) Venom--one of Spidey's most powerful enemies!

Spider-Man 3 was directed by Sam Raimi and starred: Tobey Maguire - Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Kirsten Dunst - Mary Jane Watson, Thomas Haden Church - Sandman, James Franco - Harry Osborn, Topher Grace - Venom, Bryce Dallas Howard - Gwen Stacy, James Cromwell - Captain George Stacy, Rosemary Harris - Aunt May Parker, J.K. Simmons - J. Jonah Jameson, Dylan Baker - Dr. Curt Connors/The Lizard, Elizabeth Banks - Betty Brant.

Incredible is a word that should never describe anything pertaining to Spider-Man 3.

Spider-Man 3 was Raimi's "[frick] you" to Sony for shoving Venom down his throat and not letting him have creative control after his masterpiece that was SM2. It sucks for the fans but ultimately, if it weren't for this movie, we would'nt have gotten the much better Peter Parker that we have now. That said, the first two films were still amazing (pun intended).

This artwork is not incredible. It looks bland and quite boring. Even the picture with black spidey hanging upside down looks off. It looks like he's sitting on a ledge, upside down.

Yeah Venom should be a 2 part film imo.It starts with Peter (obviously) & it ends with him getting rid of it.The after credit scene could have been Brock & symbiote coming 2gether.Which would have been SM4.Sadly, Raimi didn't even wanna use Venom.

P.S I WANT [frick]N CARNAGE IN A MOVIE!!!

Also I HOPE they don't go the Ultimates route with Venom.

Spider-man 1 and 2 are great but having Macy Gray in the first movie was a bad idea, I always skip over that part.

AnnoDomini Those movies don't matter anymore...I don't know why you're talking about it like the new film series can connect to the Raimi one. It wouldn't happen.

I remember when I first saw the trailer for this movie. I was so stoked.. And it IS a very good trailer!! And you can kick my ass for saying this but: I loved when Peter get's all asshead while wearing the black suit.. I think the Jazzclub scene is awesome and I basically just liked the black suit better than the red and blue one.. but the MOVIE.. was not good at all.

Spiderman 3 sucked, but only as much as Spiderman 2 sucked. Spiderman was the best one. Perfect origin story, and Willem Dafoe was the best Norman Osborn we could ever hope for.

Hahaha holy shit, I forgot Macy Gray was in it! That part was so cringeworthy.

I watched spider man 3 the other day for shits and giggles, mostly giggles, and it's just so lame. From the villains to that stupid ass emo phase Peter went through. The worst part is venom though. Arguably spider mans greatest villain next to green goblin and he gets 1/3 of the movie? Come on son

I loved the first spider man though. The wrestling scene was great. Goblin was great. I think it was the first comic book movie I ever owned on VHS haha
