COULD CLARK FLY IN WINTER FINALE OF SMALLVILLE?

I have a theory about the mid-season finale of "Smallville."

Well as "Smallville" is winding up for a close as all know, it's only a matter of time before Clark begins to fly. I believe it could be in the episode titled "Icarus." This is because in Greek mythology a man named "Icarus" created his own wings and could fly. I have no source only my own theory and as the producers have said that this episode is filled with surprises. It may also feature Clark and Lois getting engaged.

Well tell me what you think below!

Doubt it. The Smallville execs are too scared of Clark flying. They're scared because they're worried the show might actually start getting interesting once he flies. lol

Look, I loved the early seasons of the show...1-5 because those seasons were interesting- the early friendship of Clark Kent/Lex Luthor while knowing what they're destined for and the stories were interesting too. By season 5 they really came closer to connecting with the traditional 'Superman myth' by having Jonathon Kent die of heart-failure and Clark discovering the Fortress of Solitude and Lex seemingly embracing his evil destiny even more. Even up to season 7 was ok because Rosenbaum was an epic Lex Luthor. But lately things have gotten a bit out of hand on the show and I really wish they'd do the characters more justice. They made Deadshot into a lame cowboy with a redneck accent. Cyborg and Brainiac didn't look a thing like in the comics and I am hoping they don't [frick] up with Deathstroke and Darkseid.

I have hopes for Smallville, because I love Superman. He's my most favorite comic book superhero and I want Welling to wear the suit and start being Superman already, it's the final season...I say- Welling finally removes the suit from the FOS and starts wearing it already. What's the POINT of keeping it frozen in the FOS anyway? It's better used on the battlefield. We've waited 10 YEARS for it and I feel it's a little [frick]ed up of Smallville to keep dangling it on a string as if we fans are hungry puppies just waiting for a bone to be thrown our way. I hope he at least wears the suit during his battle with Darkseid. And that's another thing- they made Doomsday weak against Clark. It should have been a long-drawn out battle like in the comics. I hope the fight with Darkseid is more worth it.

Mark this as EDITORIAL next time. It is not a scoop.

It is certain from all that's been hinted: he will not fly until the end of the season. It may be one or two episodes before, not sooner. If he flies 'early,' I'm sure it will be at night so no one sees him outside of the suit.

NO Flights No Tights not 'til the end. Hawkman dies and I bet that Clark proposes to Lois in the mid-season finale. Then we have to wait until Feb or March until we find out anything else.

is probably hawkman, he's most likely going to die as this is meant to be his last ever appearance on smallville

If you remember the story Icarus could fly yes but then he flys to close to the Sun and his wings melt and he falls back to earth. So if he does fly "Somehow" in the episode. It's likly that something will happen at the end that stops him from flying anymore until the last episode.

He already flew this season or does hovering not count as flight? I guess if not doing anything super in SR counts as a Superman movie, then hovering doesn't count, either.

I think Icarus is going to be the fall and demise of Hawkman. Carter Hall already alluded to knowing that his end was near. I think the "big event" that draws everyone together will be Hawkman's funeral. Sad...very sad...I've always been a big fan of Hawkman. As far as Clark flying.....please....they're going to tease us and tease us until about 2 minutes before the end of the finale. Again....sad....very sad.
