Eric Martsolf to Play Booster Gold on Smallville

Soaps.com is reporting that Eric Martsolf from Days Of Our Lives has been cast in the role of Booster Gold, and the actor himself has tweeted a confirmation.

Although he's been playing the bad side of Brady lately, Eric Martsolf will soon be moving in a very different direction. The multi-talented actor has been cast as Booster Gold, a superhero from the future. The character won't be appearing in Salem of course. Instead, fans will be able to catch Eric on the CW/Sci-Fi channel series "Smallville."

No word yet on when the episode will be airing, but it looks like shooting will start right away. Martsolf has been forced to drop out of his appearance in next week's Soap Cruise: The Fourth Voyage because of the scheduling conflict.




Personally, I think he's got the build. Not sure about his acting skills.

I'm not sure if this is good or bad news. I don't know the actor, but I'm excited for this episode even though Smallville has disappointed me. Anything johns puts together is always great.

He would have made more sense as Bruce Wayne/Batman then Booster Gold.

I would have gone with someone like Justin Timberlake to play Booster Gold.

As that interview indicate both versions of the Beetle will most likely be on the episode.

Any news on who is playing Beetle?
