and look at stargirl, that is exactly why they can't make comic costumes exactly like they look in the books. they look cheesy and terrible, hahahaha. and people want a yellow spandex wolverine costume??? psshhhh...

Look at star girls mask! You would think that when they took a look at her in the full getup they would have scraped it or her. Damn Dr. Fate could have been done much better than that.

Everyone knows that most comic costumes, especially some of DC costumes wouldn't work in live action, they must be modified. Well i guess everyone doesn't know or I wouldn't be look at this garbage.

Honestly what do you think they can do with a TV budget. They're good for what they are. Its how the character is portrayed. Batman's costume changes in every single movie

Haters...every last one of you...I'll admit last season had MUCH to be desired, but c'mon, this season's shaping up to something "not too shabby". All I think to myself when I read some of these posts is that when I was a kid...we wished we had something like this to watch. I know its not 100% accurate to the source material, but it was never supposed to be...a show like "Smallville" is a concept derived FROM a source material and like any other show, it has it's ups and downs. Either way I'd rather have a show that tries and occasionally fails, then no CBTV at all.

BBBooo! on a TV budget you can still do much better than then this. Smallville has change so much in the story line that modifying the costumes to look decent would have been a plus. Ive seen better Fan made costumes at comic con, so don't tell me what someone cant do on a budget.

You dont even have to go far from the original, Dr. Fates helmet could have been much better if it was smaller. Star girl would have been a GREAT IMPROVEMENT with a normal Robin mask. Hawk Man should have just hit the gym. I just have always seen him as being built.

Its the little things that count and this was just poorly executed.

Well Multi, those costumes are as close to the comics as it can get...and that there is proof that they will not always translate! But, in fairness, I don't think they look TOO bad. Stargirl does look like a chick at a convention, but the other 2 are decent..for Smallville, in a movie I would expect much more.

Wow, these aren't very good.

Stargirl - cheap, looks like a Party City reject.

Dr. Fate - dead on from the comics, but looks pretty cheesey and makes me laugh a bit LOL

Hawkman - decent actually, except the mask looks super plastic and the wings look awkward

Can't wait for the purists to arrive and trash our negative opinions :)

That's why i hate most of you purist fan boys, not just me but most of movie directors you know why ? because its IMPOSSIBLE to please you.

If they bring a character with a bad and unfaithful custom, like many liveaction movies out there as goku not being asian FFS, green goblin with an alternative custom, and many many others, you guys cry OUT LOUD from day one untill its released in DVD, cry, cry ALOT, and then they bring this, which to me looks RIDICULOUS and is the reason why the x-man arent YELLOW, and what u all say ?

"these dont look good"..."looks cheesy"..NO SHIT! of course they look bad, you cant bring most of the cartoon/anime/manga charcters to live action with no changes or they will look stupid and cheesy, god i still hear some of u asking in the next wolverine movie for him to use his yellow custom, [frick] no, you guys simply DONT KNOW what you want, you think u do, believe me, you dont!

Stop crying next time u see an ''adjusted'' super hero custom on the big screen.
