First Look at Zatanna On Smallville

Yeah it's officially going to season 9. I'm hoping to see Darkseid, they alked about him for this season. But I'm looking forward to Hex. Thanks CBM

I'm glad to see her traditional look, Smallville has a habit of altering costumes. I'm glad they kept everything right, including the fishnets!

I wish they would just stop calling it Smallville and call it Metropolis and have Clark be Superman. If done properly it would be a big hit in my opinion. Having Clark meet all of his villians before he's Supes is getting kind of stupid. Dont get me wrong, I love Smallville but now its like its not even part of the Superman mythology anymore. Its like its own story about a alien who secretly saves everyone and never reveils himself. If we cant have a new Superman movie for awhile then give us a better version of Lois and Clark. Does anyone agree or disagree? DONT BE SHY. COMMENTS PLEASE!!!

GUNSMITH: They wanted Dakseid this season, I don't know what happened. They ae keeping a tight lid on the last two episodes and are saying something big is on the way, maybe the return of Lex, or maybe even a certain Apokoliptian warlord. A guy can hope.

And for some reason is WB has DC movie or series in production, characters, even minor ones are off limits. That's why when they were doing Justice league Unlimited no Aquaman villains, and eventually Aquamqan himself, were placed off limits because of the failed Aquaman pilot on WB. The same thing with Batman characters, when the JLU was on so was Teen Titans, and The Batman, so no Titan character/villains, or Batman villains were allowed on JLU. JLU eventually got Speedy for one episode after Titans were off the air.

But the infamous Batembargo prevents any Batman characters from appearing in a non Batman series movie etc. That's why no Bats on Smallville and no continuation of the DC Animated Universe. Thats why they are doing non continuity animated movies.

Smallville is not allowed the Superman costume if a Superman movie is slated.

All of this could be changed by WB, but for some reason they won't get their head out of their collective asses to see that hey would make more money if they diversified their assets, and gave the fans what they want.

Well that sums it up in a nutshell. It sucks I know.

Welling said a year or two ago that he might be game, but WB shut that down, HARD. They don't want people getting confused about the lack of continuity between Smallville and whatever Lex Luthor movie they are thinking about thinking about making.

dxperry, leee777, thatd be cool to switch the title, but, if u havent heard, season 9 is probably the last season slated for the show theyve said, soo...... too bad

"Metropolis" would make for a good show, but I don't think it would last long with SV's budget constraints. It would get bogged down pretty quickly if they had to deal with the cost of flying and real super villain fights on a weekly basis. I was thinking though, that sending SV off with a "Metropolis" TV movie could work if WB allows it. Hell, another season, and a TV movie could get the franchise on a close enough track with the overall mythos that it could vie for time on the big screen.

Well Ion your opinion matters, thats the great thing about this site you can talk about things. But Ion Aquaman has been in 3 episodes, Impulse 2, Cyborg 2. Speedy hasn't been in it at all. Green Arrow however is a series regular. Hal Jordan has not even been thought of. Martian Manhunter has been given an awesome backstory in the show. And the portrayal of him has been great. And Clark spends more time in Metropolis than in Smallville, so he is going to run into other characters.

O and i hope (and this is probably complete wishful thinking) that bringing in Zatanna would maybe constitute a cameo by a certain millionaire named Bruce Wayne. Like in the Batman: the Animated Series, he and Zat were really good friends (don't know if that's entirely true. I never read the comics w/ her in them) maybe she could notice Clark and be like "hey, I saw you over... blah blah blah" and some swauve looking guy would walk up and be like "Zat, you ready to go?" and she be like "yeah bruce." then well, i haven't thought that far and i've got other things to do like homework due in an hour! AHHH!!!
