Is Michael Rosenbaum returning to Smallville? If IMDB is to be believed, it looks like he just may be.

According to the site, the former show regular is listed as a cast member for the 20th and second to last episode of the shows finale season. Rosenbaum, who played Lex Luthor for seven seasons, has been sought after to reprise his role as Lex Luthor for months, but has been very adamant that he has no intentions of returning. Now it seems that it was all a farce: Superman will face his two greatest enemies--Lex Luthor and Darkseid-- before the series ends and, as most of us hoped, the series will go out with the bang that it deserves after ten years of great memories.

Fingers crossed, Smallville fans!

I reaaaaally hope this is true! If Rosembaum doesn't return and they don't bring Lex back as Superman's biggest enemy then they'll have balls'd up the story - it was always supposed to end where Superman's story begins. With Lex as a villain. (Im on S10E03, not sure where the clone story is going)

Speaking to a reliable source, I have it that Rosenbaum will NOT be returning to the show. That the actor is actually confused as to why the producers are making it sound like he's negotiating with them when there hasn't been any recent discussions of it at all.

According to a source I have that knows him (and most of the cast of S'ville) personally, he's been at odds as to whether he'll come back for a couple of episodes. Welling REALLLY wants him back for a last shout before the series ends. Rosenbaum wants to move on. Maybe when I meet him I'll ask him. LOL

He would do best to stay as far away from this pile of show as possible. It could really hurt his "career"

Debunked - According to KryptonSite.com:
More incorrect listings have recently shown up on IMDB. We've announced it on our Twitter feed, but since not everyone follows that and we're still getting e-mails, it bears repeating.

First off: Robbie Amell is NOT playing Conner Kent in the episode "Kent." We've gotten confirmation on this from the studio, but also, Amell himself has confirmed that he's not doing Smallville at this time (though he'd love to).

Secondly, IMDB lists Michael Rosenbaum as appearing in episode #20 of the season. Again, this is a case where someone with wishful thinking has submitted to the Internet Movie Database, and as it is user-submitted, it can't always be quality-controlled. We'd love to see Rosenbaum, but honestly... if he's coming back, it's going to be broken by someone like Ausiello, NOT just a random IMDB posting.

Highly doubt this is real. It's IMDB, Wikipedia's more reliable than that site.
In all honesty, as long as it ends with Clark in the suit, that's all ya need. From day one it's been about Clark's journey, growing up and becoming Superman, not about sticking Lex in the last episode. I couldn't care less if Lex didn't turn back up, as long as the series ends by completing Clark's journey.

I think there is a better chance of Routh playing Superman in the "Finale".

good find though

Lex was the best part of the show, hope this is true so the series can at least have a proper end.

It's IMDB. A piece of paper that has that sentence written in poop has the same level of credibility.

There the site that say Sin City 3 is in production while Sin City 2 is in Pre-Production....

I'm guessing that is wrong information - it would be great to see him back seeing as that show helped give him a boost so that people know who he is. That being said - I am not getting my expectations up. If he did manage to appear I wouldn't want to know about it as it would be far better if it was a surprise appearance in one of the last few episodes.

This is probably just a stunt to boost ratings and interest in the show's last season. I think somebody is trying to hype up a spectacular series finale with the show going out with a bang, when in all actuality, if you can guage it on the rest of the season so far, the last three episodes are going to end Smallville with a whimper.

I don't know why Rosenbaum won't return. I could understand him wanting to move on to different roles. But it's the last freakin' season. The least he can do is come back for the fans who supported him on the show for 7 seasons!

Rosenbaum was a great Lex and they wanted him to return for a big part of the final season but he chose not to, so screw him.

I'm sure he'll still be back for the finale but I don't even want him to at this point cause he doesn't deserve the recognition.

Early on he was great but the fact is the show was at its worst right before he left (the Lex/Lana stuff), and then got much better after when they had to focus on Clark and his superhero friends.

I find it very funny that with only 3 or 4 episodes left there gonna squeeze in a Plot line they abandoned at the beginning of the season lol

I see it like this

Darkseid appeared there was a couple of shows...then Blame out of No where here comes the suicide squad and then no Mention of Darkseid....

So then you think hes gonna show up...BLAM0 here comes lionel Luthor.... DarkWho?

Then they Bring Chloe back...Blam...Who was we talking about?

What really sucks is all of these filler episodes its like there not gonna write any good episodes then try to Half ass it like they did LOST

Great work idiots at CW!

I still watch this show I loved season 9 but season 10 is really really crap!
