The Superman Homepage, the premier site for info on the Man of Steel, will hardly ever report on rumors, but they are nonetheless claiming that Laura Vandervoort is coming back to Smallville.

Reports the site's Barry Freiman, "While it's been rumored for a while, actress Laura Vandervoort is returning to Smallville one last time as Kara. Under complete condition of anonymity, a source close to the show shared with me that Laura Vandervoort will return to Smallville for at least one more episode. While we generally don't like to report unsubstantiated news to our readers on Superman Homepage, I'm confident in the source and promised this person total anonymity."

Adding credence to this is the fact that "V" has finished production on its second season, so Vandervoort's schedule would conceivably be free.

I figured she would have returned by now anyway, she said she was going to stay in Metropolis to fight the Darkness... Then just disappeared for a few months, seems like they would at least show some News Paper headlines or something mentioning her being seen saving the day. I love Smallville for what it is, I just wish I had a dime for every time they dropped the ball. Then I could afford make my own Superman show. lol!

I do like her as Supergirl but V's becoming a pretty awesome show so I'm happy to have her on that.

@unreal2k9: I think Leee refers to the Supergirl movie, a Christopher Reeve cameo was planned but never realized because of schedule problems! :-)

supergirl spin off show featuring powergirl & zatanna.

maybe she wants to star in another crap show,maybe a guest appearence in "the cape".

apart from that she should leave this train wreck of a show & concentrate on "v".

Omg I really don't want her back, she's going to steal the spotlight from Clark AGAIN. Hopefully they will kill her off or send her away. They brought her back to fight the darkness WTF and left her around metropolis doing clarks [frick]ing job. I do like this show but it does have some terrible writers.

V is crappy... She is only reason I fast forwad thru it and watch any of it... But she should have definitely been popping up in headlines of the daily planet doing saves and what not for sure. Glad she is coming back. Wish Zatana could hypnotize her and we could get a kiss... lol

Its like from the movie SUPERGIRL Kara tackling the forces of darkness from Selena's powers and bringing back the omegahedron back to her city on her safe mission. That might've affected from the original SUPERGIRL movie that Helen Slater played
