Mild Spoiler Warning!

To sum this episode up in one word is "surprising". Coming in to 10x06 "Harvest" I was not looking forward to the premise of the episode. I assumed it was going to be a filler episode. It definitely was not. I'm going to talk about Clark and Lois's storyline first.

The Clois storyline started off with Lois questioning Clark about all the odd things that happened throughout the series and if it had to do with Clark's Kryptonian heritage. I thought that scene was pretty funny and all the callbacks were really nice. I know some people are mad that we didn't get to see Clark actually tell Lois that he is Kryptonian but I didn't really mind. The whole sacrificial village was actually kinda cool. It really felt like an old Smallville episode with kryptonite affecting people. The way the writers integrated blue kryptonite in the story didn't seem forced at all. The acting was spot on from Tom Welling(Clark),Erica Durance(Lois),and the villagers. The end scene with Clark and Lois was great. I'm so happy the producers are pushing this Clois relationship earlier in the season because I'm sure these characters are going to be very busy as the show progresses to the final episode.

Now for the little Lex storyline. It was by far the best part of the episode for me. Connor Stanhope played an amazing little Lex Luthor. I was really worried how the writers and producers were going to deal with little Lex but now I am totally confident with what they are doing. Cassidy Freeman did great in this episode as Tess Mercer trying to help Lex grow up into a respectable young man. Seeing little Lex recall past scenes and episodes about his memories of Clark was so eerie and nostalgic. Seeing little Lex shave his head and give that sly grin was creepy and Michael Rosenbaum-ish. I am totally okay with this little Lex growing up to be the Lex Luthor that Clark must fight as Superman. After seeing this storyline with Lex, my need for Michael Rosenbaum to come back as this little boy grown up has intensified greatly. I hope Michael watches this episode because its impossible for him to say no after such a great storyline.

Here is a quick overview of the good and bad:
THE GOOD :
+ Nostalgia; Many callbacks to previous episodes
+ Class Smallville story
+ Lex "fricking" Luthor!
+ Clois romance
+ Great acting
THE BAD :
- Missed out on Clark telling Lois he is an Alien

Overall it was a great episode. To be honest, it is my favorite episode of the season. It gets 5 bald heads out of 5

Didn't bother watching it, IF this was indeed the episode that aired last night. I had higher expectations for Smallville season 10. But so far...meh. The only good episode so far this season is "Homecoming" my favorite episode in general being- "Onyx" the one time we see the TRUE Lex Luthor of the comics. -_-

@LP4 You really should watch this episode. I found it to be better than 'Homecoming". And I totally agree with you about "Onyx"

I never said she didn't know Clark was Kryptonian. I said we didn't get to see Clark tell her. When the episode started she already knew

I thought it looked like a dumb episode but it turned out pretty good as usual. Lois and Clark are always great together but I thought that lil Lex stole the show.

I agree about Rosenbaum, after that episode I can't really imagine him not returning. I keep thinking they wouldn't have done this storyline unless they knew for a fact he'd at least return for the finale.

Hopefully they're just misleading us to keep it a secret, it'd be amazing if he just popped up and we didn't know about it cause that never really happens anymore.

How was Clark able to handle and heal from all the blue Kryptonite? The end was again bending the rules to resolve itself. They can do better and should.

@Xenix He said he was The Blur, not Kryptonian. She found out he was an alien off-screen

Do you remember when Tess employee said they found Lionel's files of cloning and that he cloned his daughter. I think Tess might be her.

I don't mind the filler episodes, but they've got to stop using the whole "Clark loses his powers" storyline. Again, this episode isn't the worst by far, but it's just not what I'm wanting. The feeling of Lex is starting to overwhealm the show. If MR doesn't reprise his role, we'll all be left very unsatisfied. The guy owns the role of Lex Luthor.
