I can not find a [frick] to give about this, I only watched the first 3 episodes of the first season, and that's cause it was not Kent, but Peter Parker. I know this series [frick]ed over their fans with the whole 10 second in the suit/cgi'd cluster[frick]. Anyway....

"Smallville" was great for the first five seasons, dropped the ball when Lex started dating Lana in season six and all the DC characters started poluting the storyline.

All in all, it was half great and half not-so-great.... 50/50 type of series.

THE SHOW WAS ON TEN YEARS AND ALL WE GOT IN THE END WAS A SHIRT AND TINY CG SUPERMAN CHARACTERS....AND FACE CLOSE UPS...THAT WAS THE DISAPPOINTING THING FOR ME.

I like Avalanches comment. Anyway, I loved Smallville and the comic sounds awesome. Laugh or mock all you tools if you want, but BQM knows how to write Superman, and he'll make Supes act like Superman, unlike this DCnU crap we're getting in Action and Superman...

The show had some great episodes, and it had some cheesy episodes. I personally think Erica Durance is hot, so seeing her on screen was always enjoyable. But i agree, season 10 could have been, should have been epic. I wouldnt mind getting the comic, just to see how the start 'season 11' but i dont do digital. If i cant physically hold it in my hands, i dont want it.

Also, to say you din't care for this version of Superman is to say that you don't care for Christopher Reeve's Superman. I say that because 1. Before his passing (RIP) Reeve blessed Smallville as a whole AND Welling and 2. If you watched the series all the way through, Clark is a lot like the young Clark in Superman: The Movie! And BQM stated in the interview above that this Superman will be just like the Christopher Reeve's Superman. I 've always given Superman a chance (even Returns and the New 52), so anyone commenting here should too.

@tea lol Debatable, but I see your point. Either way, if this comic is written like Reeve's Superman, which it will be, then it's a must read for Superman fans.

@MJPETTY7

The real Superman can be found in Action Comics or Superman, not in that crappy piece of garbage called smallville.
Who the hell care if TW got Reeve's blessing? His movies are outdated (though the two firsts were good).
MOS and Henry Cavill will make you forget about Reeve and smallville.

Best show ever!

I admit it would've been nice to see Welling in costume but it really wasn't necessary. I thought that final shot was more than enough and the Superman CGI was just a bonus.

I'd love to know why he didn't wear it though, I'm guessing he wanted more money or maybe he was pissed about not getting the movie role. But whatever, I don't blame the guy since he single-handedly kept the show on the air for like 4 years when everyone else left.

I'm interested in seeing what Bryan Q. Miller does with Smallville's Superman.

I've heard nothing but great things during his run of Batgirl.

@Nomis I don't think some people get that. Someone on Kryptonsite once compared Smallville to being like Marvel's Ultimate universe.

Because it's so different from the regular DC Universe. Which I think is a spot on comparison.

@Optimus83 It was teased that a major DC character will appear. My money is on Batman. :)

@AtomicChipmunk You're ALMOST right, the real Superman WAS found in Action Comics and Superman, then the New 52's "bad-boy" Superman crap came out. NOT Superman, sorry! I dropped those two after the 1st two issues!

Also you're saying that the Superman movies don't matter, when in reality, they've influenced all aspects of Superman (INCLUDING Smallville) a million times more than anything else! Oh, and yes, Man of Steel will be incredible, but it will not make me forget about Reeve or Smallville, get out of your fantasy land.

@teabag Maybe, but he was pretty good the first 7 seasons. 8-10 a little more one dimensional, but still great imo.

“He’s kinda riding the contact high” [of saving Earth from Apocalypse].

WRONG!! Last shot of Clark-as-Supes was the shirt-rip to go diffuse a bomb uptown – “FIVE YEARS LATER”.

And this guy’s the lead writer on Season 11? D’OH!!

Let’s hope he remembers Clark is from Krypton and not Planet Zod or some isht.

SMH.

@ManofSteelo This takes place in the 6 months after Superman saved the planet from Apokalypse, NOT in the future sequence at the end.
