Johns also says that his "Society" episode will actually be a battle between the Justice League and the Justice Society. Infuriatingly he doesn't provide any additional details. We do learn that Justin Hartley's Green Arrow is getting his Speedy sidekick -- a female!

This season looks cool but last season looked better. Zod isnt really that exciting, but Justice Society, Metallo, and Speedy sound cool. Hopefu;;y it will make up for the season finale.

I don't even know if i like this show anymore, but I've been watching it for so long that i would feel weird quitting it now lol ;).

They've certainly got my hopes up. Clark wearing the "S" emblem is enough to get me to check it out. I hope the reality lives up to the anticipation.

I loved the Legion of Superheros episode Johns did. I'm excited to see how he does up the JSA. Bring on some golden age action and an HIV postive sidekick!

Last season was weak and should've been the best ever season, just hope this is much better but the MATRIX CLARK now a female SPEEDY instead of real SPEEDY (ROY), damn not lookin' too good again, i know there is a female SPEEDY, but thats wayyyyy after original SPEEDY!

Oh well, gotta hope for the best lol.

@LEEE: While the boy Speedy is interesting, the female one is as well, Martix Clark would be weird (but Neo was very Superman-like in the Matrix series)

JSA needs the big screen treatment!

I loved SMALLVILLE since season one but after last season, it kinda tainted the show, i knew it was a bad idea from the start to bring DOOMSDAY in it! He too needs big screen treatment!

Anyways I'm a little curious to see how all this trench coat business is going to turn out. To me all the special appearances by DC heroes don't really matter. I just want to know how they develop Clark.(flying,laser vision,freeze breath,glasses)

Don't get me wrong dude, I like the cameos and what not. I just feel that Smallville shoehorns them on the show. I'm mean really when everyone starts to get on clark(Tom welling) for not beeing supes, they just shoehorn a new DC hero. At the end of every season, everyone is pissed. Soooo what do they do??? Oh we'll throw in Doomsday for more ratings. Oh we'll throw in Metallo for more ratings.

It just seems like their ignoring the main character...SUPERMAN!

Now all of these cameos just become gimmicks to keep the show going. Sadly Smallville forgot about Supes a long time ago.

I hope they don't touch Darkseid! He should be used only for the movies!

How can Clark ever be Superman on the show? Everyone's seen him without glasses for like the last five years. If he starts wearing them now, who's that gonna throw off? "Oh, Clark can't be Superman. Clark wears glasses. True, Superman looks just like Clark did before he started wearing glasses..." How the hell is it gonna work? Maybe Superman should wear glasses and then no one will think that it's Clark. JK. Really, the show should have had Clark wearing glasses from the get-go.

axlkomix, obviously you're not following the mythos of Smallville. When you want to change something after the fact, simply reboot. After all, Clark's got the legion ring. When he's ready to become Superman, he can send out a pulse that will make people forget what Clark looks like without glasses. Sheesh. How hard is that?
