Zatanna is on her way to Smallville and she's about to put a "Hex" on us!

A truly magical magician fulfills Chloe's wish to have Lois' "easy" life ... by transplanting her into her cousin's body! Zatanna is going under the guise of Cassie and she tries to get Oliver to believe in witchcraft, and comes to him for help. Apparently Lex had obtained an item before he disappeared that she would like to obtain. She offers to give Oliver his "deepest desire" if he helps her.

This episode is also directed by Smallville's very own Tom Welling.

Now I'm a big fan of my friend Shaman's fansite "My Secret Identity" and not too long ago he cast the part of Zatanna. I must say his casting was marvelous. He cast Morena Baccarin of Firefly fame. I thought this has to be perfect, who could top her as Zatanna?

Well Shaman, I got my answer today. I don't know where the casting crew of Smallville found this woman but the likeness to her comic book counter part is uncanny. The Actress I speak of is Serinda Swan. And she looks as if she was pulled right out the comic books.









As far as I know Serinda has done a lot of modeling but little to no acting so it remains to be seen weather or not she will live up to my hype, but if she acts as good as she looks then we are in for treat.

i do enjoy smallville, and i think the writing and acting has gotten better over the years, so i'm not sure whether a model can do much justice to the current series, however i starred at her pic for about 3 mins before i commented, so chances are that i'm not gonna here a single word she says. love it!

Let's just hope she acts better than "Saturn Girl" did in Legeon- it was like pulling teeth getting her to say her lines.
Pretty woman, but I need to see acting!

On the castings behalf zantana had well fulfilled breasts and it wouldn't be right if they casted a small breasted women but omg she is sooo hot wanna touch the hiney haha - Adam Sandler

Huh...guess it won't be that bad, clark can be harmed by magic but i dunno wat they're gonna do cos they like to change alot on this show, lana now has superpowers!!! wtf? was that about, either way i love smallville ;), it's a great show, should be cool seeing toms directing skills.

HUBBA HUBBA im gonna watch the whole show and probably not even know what it was about because i'll be watcing her, if she has some good acting chops she should take over tomb raider instead of meagan "my future wife" fox but damn she's hot gonna watch that episode for sure.

I agree with Rorsh, hot looking girl, but can she deliver, this show needs to end...and soon, they have done everything but change the title to JLA or Superman.

Yeah, lets see if she can act...but she seriously resembles her in every possible way...even the dimensions of her body.

she does look like her..but consider this, have you ever seen a female comic character that didnt have big boobs and a great ass??..if you have they are few and far between..if an "actress" meets these requirments people think its great casting! ..hey im not complaining..as lomg as she can act..but id much rather see a plainer girl play the role if she can be more convincing.

they picked an exact look alike lets hope it all ties together.
last nights episode couldve been better, i hate how some villains are only seen once, and then its over for them except for the recurring lex luthor and bizarro who had a few brainiac as well.
but there are some that should be seen at least more then once.
i hope she does great as an actor, because hott and i hoe its not ruined

Well, Lana's had superpowers on more than one occasion in the comics, mostly Golden Age, of course. They always end up being temporary, but just like Lois, Jimmy, and the rest of the gang, it seems like they all got their chance to don the tights at one point, so to speak.

As far as Zatanna goes...Smalleville has a long history of casting models and music artists instead of actors. Occasionally it works out well...sometimes, not so much. As uneven as the show can be, it does seem to get better, instead of worse, as it goes. Here's hoping that Serinda can prove to Shaman that she's cut out for the role - And the series.

Hey I've been a fan of the show for years, and this past episode was one of the worst, but hey this is still a great show. You can't trash the show if you haven't seen it before or have never seen it, or if you just saw part of the episode. If you don't know about the story arcs don't critcize it. Smallville is still CW's highest yielding show. It has a large and loyal fan base. I enjoy it, and it is not a crap fest. This is probably one of the best seasons of te show, except for last night. And as coats said Lana and other supporting Superman characters have acquired super powers in the past. I mean, god look at Jimmy Olsen in the comics.

im enjoying this season too, but no show thats as inconsistent as Smallville can be called a great show...you dont get train wrecks of episodes like that with BSG or Lost

Lost has better episodes than others but none are bad..at the very least you will always get some nice character beats even if the story doesnt move along sometimes..with Smallville its like your watching a different show sometimes..i can honestly not say one nice thing about that miserable exuse for an episode..oh no sorry, one thing..at least Lana seems to have [frick]ed off for good!

That is one good thing, thoug Kristen was easy on the eyes, well I may see her in Street Fighter. And as for whether it is a good show, thats a matter of opinion. You think its had some bad episodes (I agree some were substandard), and I think Lost has had some bad ones, I admit I am not much of a fan. And at least this girl does look like Zatanna, ut can she act.

This woman is gorgeous and I hope the have her in the traditional costume. I don't really watch Smallville at all, but Zatanna is one of the few DC characters I really enjoy.
