Tom Welling Says He Would Be Open to a Smallville Movie - Video

Not that it would happen, but Tom Welling has said that he would be open to the idea of a Smallville movie, and notes that there had been talk of one during the course of the series. Cool: another opportunity for audiences NOT to see him in the Superman costume.

I've made peace with the way the series ended and I am extremely grateful for what we got (Booster Gold, Blue Beetle, Darkseid, Doomsday). I honestly think Tom was hoping that he'd be able to sit back and take all the Hellcats money, too bad for him it wasn't renewed. The show is over, there is no reason to be negative about it anymore.

NOT SMALLVILLE, CALL IT METROPOLIS-FULL COSTUME, RETURNING MEMBERS OF JLA AND NEW ONES, AGAINST A REAL VILLAIN. MAYBE STRAIGHT TO DVD

supermanallstar - 6/15/2011, 4:59 AM
Fully agree, he had his chance. If he couldn't man up and put that suit on then maybe it's probaby for the best since he obviously hasn't deserved it. *sigh...* and i was a pretty big fan of that show... Don't get me wrong... it was good... but did not at all fill my Superman Expectations. Shame.

@YsoSerious - Agreed

Tom Makes waaaaaaaaay more money than anybody on this website, and with the royalties and points he is going to stack up from all the DVDs and BoxSets they will sale... He will NOT be working at Burger King. Dude is set for life... AND he got to kiss on Erica Durance!! FTW

Say what you want about him, but remember guys that he kept Superman in the public's eye for a decade. He's the reason why everyone's still interested to see Supes back on the big screen.

WHATEVER WELLING!!

We dont care anymore! You wasted 10 seasons of our life for some bullcrap, bastardised version of superman, trying to palm it off with "Its the story of Clark Kent not Superman"...eat me you douche!!

Yeah i watched the whole thing.... and yeah Im angry!! You didnt even wear the suit properly....AND for the final scene it was only a tshirt with the S sign on it!! Not even the proper thing...we're not kids man, i dont know how you thought you could palm us off with that shizz and we'd be happy?!? And now you'd be open for a movie?!?! Funniest thing ive heard and seen since that crappy attempt at you in a cgi suit...Couldnt even hit the gym to fill out the suit?? We all know thats the reason...dont try play us man..

Just know...a lot of people hate you welling..and if dare try come and get a Marvel gig..like dr strange or cap marvel...you will be laughed out of hollywood...good luck getting a proper acting in the future..although you've prob made enough cheddar from shizzville to sit on your lard ass till you croak!! Im angry because we the fans were the muggs, we believed that you could bring it back for the final season and give what we wanted and deserved...silly silly us hey!

Wow that felt good..i didnt pipe up about it when the finale went down..i dunno why, but damn that felt good. I hope you read this welling and realise...you sir are a great big failure!!

WELLING FAILING DUH#

Im not going to share my disappointment as much as i would like. But he should have said no to anything revolving Smallville. Snyder, Nolan, and Cavill are where the man of steel reside now, not on Smallville. Sry Welling your time to NOT be Superman has passed.
TheLight
TheLight - 6/15/2011, 9:59 AM
@Arminies,

Tell that to failed superhero shows that haven't even made it pass 2 years. I'm not saying that the show was epic or Welling was the best Clark Kent/Superman, but he did keep Superman "alive" on screen.
Deadshot
Deadshot - 6/15/2011, 10:16 AM
I was a huge fan of this guy, but you'd have to be a major dick, to knowingly let millions of people down by not putting on a stupid suit for 10 seconds.

I agree. At least Rosenbaum returned for the finale.
JULEZ13
JULEZ13 - 6/15/2011, 11:08 AM
I used to like Tom Welling, but after he wanted to be lazy not hitting the gym to fill out the suit or even trying to please the fans that kept his career alive for a decade by wearing some type of suit I'm starting to strongly dislike his a$$.

I would like to see a Smallville movie, IF he's Superman in it. It would give them a chance to fill in all the plot holes the finale made. But it would never happen because he refuses to hit the gym.

This will happen when he loses all his money and the crawls and beg the studio to get everyone together to make one final movie just so he can get a paycheck.

No more living the high life for you Mr. Welling. You and your wife are gonna have to learn how to save and/or invest the money he'll be getting from the dvd sales (if he even gets a percentage) because his money's not gonna last very long.

I have know clue why anyone would have a problem with a Smallville movie....

Wanna know what i do when i don't like a show?

I don't [frick]ing watch it.

and i would really like to see a Smallville movie. But i think a direct to DVD would be the way to go.
