Possible SPOILERS: The Villains Of THOR: RAGNAROK Revealed?

Possible details on the baddies that'll populate another upcoming Marvel sequel here, and how they'll go about causing problems for Chris Hemsworth's God of Thunder and friends. From the sounds of things, Thor might be going on his next adventure without the use of a VERY important item...

After revealing the identity of one of the villains in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Geek.com now reckon they have details on the wrong 'uns that will show up in Thor: Ragnarok. According to them, the new baddie on the block is indeed going to be the ruler of the Underworld, Hela - something most of us figured anyway. They don't know for sure if that's who Cate Blanchett is lined up to play, but it seems like a safe bet.

The report claims that Hela will team up with the other antagonist of the film, Loki (no surprises there), to scheme up a plan that banishes Thor from Asgard for good.

"In Thor: Ragnarok, Hela and Loki will have set their plan well in motion by the time Thor gets wise to what’s going on. Hela ends up creating the incident to Thor’s journey in the film. According to our sources, when Thor confronts Hela, things do not go well. Not only does she banish Thor from Asgard, but she destroys Mjolnir!"

That's right - there's a chance the God of Thunder will have to navigate the Nine Realms without his most relied-upon tool in the fight against evil. Again, we'll have to consider this a rumor for now, but let us know what you think in the usual place.

Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters November 3, 2017.

For people wondering why Geek.com is coming out of nowhere, it's because of Da7e Gonzalez, who also works for Latino-Review (gasp, so unreliable! eh maybeeeeeee).

This is pretty cool though. Also speculates that she'll be in the Infinity War film(s). You can't have Blanchett just for 1 film.

Destroying Mjolnir though? That'll be a sight to see.

Okay, THIS seems a little more likely than their last stuff, but they have had three "Scoops" in a row now(one each day for the past 3 days). But seriously, the only reason I want this to be true is because I think it's too early for Surtur. He is nothing but the muscle in the story(he is only in the story really because he's uber powerful and EVERYONE shows up, this isn't the kirby ragnarok I'm talking about, btw). Thor 4 should dedicate the entirety to Enchantress, Executioner, Surtur, and Beta Ray Bill.

Also, Loki is the one who sets Ragnarok in motion in the story anyways, if they made Surtur the main villain in this movie JUST when Loki is suppose to be as unforgiving as possible and controls Asgard, it doesn't really seem fitting to have Surtur steal the thunder. Having Hela be a big presence is awesome, though. Lots of Cate means lots of good. IF this is all true then the movie is shaping up real well. But these rumors remain to be seen as true.

@ScarletWarlock

I would not be surprised if Infinity War Part 1 has two separate battles going on; maybe Surtur can be introduced in Ragnarok and be one of the heavies in the cosmic world (with Thanos) while the Earth heroes deal with Zemo and whatever he's cooking up; maybe an adaptation of Masters of Evil or something.

I was thinking way back that the reason Surtur is awakened(IF he's in the movie) is because Loki wants protection from Thanos(I imagine he's pissed he lost both the space and mind stone) and is aware of him coming to Asgard, which is why Loki thinks it's imperative to build an army, and somehow finding the Twilight sword would pretty much ensure Loki's safety from Thanos. But Ragnarok would be a combination of Loki's ill intent actions, and Surtur and Thanos' battle with another. I'm not sure the logic of it, but you can bet Surtur vs Thanos would wreck some shit on Asgard for sure, or like cause a cosmic bomb of sorts because they're just so larger than life and powerful.

But what of Surtur? Wouldn't really be Ragnarok without him. Like, at all.

Mark Ruffalo said himself he hasn't read the script and yet we got rumors about the story to the film from news outlets.

Oy vey either you all are so gullible or Marvel security team is just @Gusto and @Nomis .

@ScarletWarlock Wow, I would really dig that. I wonder who'd they even cast as Surtur. Needs to have a very intimidating voice and be a physical actor.

@LEVITIKUZ To be fair, there's already a draft out there; maybe Folsom's final draft will change some of those details but sources leaking plot details isn't so surprising.

I hope we still get Enchantress and Skurge in some type of way, but I am beginning to doubt that more and more. :(

and Surtur. Hopefully we'll get them in future installments of Marvel films, if this rumor is even true.

Um can Hela banish Thor from Asgard? I thought Hela ruled Hel, which is a different realm to Asgard?

"But what of Surtur? Wouldn't really be Ragnarok without him. Like, at all."

Any scheme cooked up by anyone will have to include Surtur and the Midgard Serpent. Looking forward to seeing both!

@Reasonnnn

Isn't the draft basically the one before the new screenwriter came in?

Maybe it's the fact that we've had the most bullshittest BvS rumors (remember the early days with Batman using drones?) and GEORGE MILLER DIRECTING SUPERMAN AND DREW GODDARD DIRECTING MCU SPIDER-MAN WHICH STILL PISSES ME THE [frick] OFF

anyway, given how we have a new screenwriter some of these rumors are probably from the old draft. We could have a new draft of the story.

My biggest issue with this film is if Hulk has no supporting cast. I mean can't we bring back Betty? She's a scientist.

I know Wonder Woman will likely have no supporting cast in BvS but she's getting a movie of her own set for next year while Hulk won't be able to ever have a solo film.

@LEVITIKUZ None of these reporters will bat 100%, it's just the nature of the game, whether its these fanboy sites or the big trades like Variety, THR, etc.

That being said, I do wish we had a Goddard Spidey and wish that George Miller didn't pass on MoS 2.

I think Stephany Folsom is doing punch-up/polish of the draft, but yeah some of these rumors could be false; Hela and Loki being in cahoots and the potential destruction of Mjolnir seem like real possibilities. Reports of Yost and Kyle's draft being "too dark" lines up with these rumors.
