Thor: Ragnarok is going to very loosely adapt Planet Hulk by sending the God of Thunder to The Grandmaster's gladiatorial arena. It's there that the hero will cross paths with his fellow Avenger, Bruce Banner, but how exactly does he wind up there? Most of us have assumed that Hela banishes him there after defeating the Asgardian and destroying Mjolnir but it's more of a cosmic coincidence.

"Basically there's any number of ways that one can end up on Sakaar," Thor: Ragnarok executive producer Brad Winderbaum explains. "And a lot of times if someone- the idea is that if someone is using a wormhole to travel from Point A to Point B in the cosmos but there's some sort of failure and you go off the route, you're going to get spat out [on Sakaar]." That could explain why the Jade Giant ended up landing there but for Thor, it's going to be all about the fate of Asgard's Rainbow Bridge.

"[And with the] Bifröst being essentially a teleportation wormhole mechanism, without going into great detail, something goes horribly wrong in an amazing sequence, and [Thor] gets spat out. And one of the first people he meets there is this bounty hunter. A nameless bounty hunter named SR-142, who is Valkyrie." It sounds like we should probably keep our eyes peeled for Easter Eggs then!

After all, it's easy to imagine any number of Marvel heroes and villains winding up on Sakaar and it will be fun seeing just how many obscure characters get a cameo here. What do you guys think of these comments? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section down below.

@BillGrave - You can clearly see a bigger Surtur in the final when Hulk jumps to him so they won't.

First reason I'm extremely excited for Thor:Ragnarok is cos of one of my most favourite actresses of all time is killing it as Goddess Of Death, Hela by Cate Blanchette.
Second, the very very hot Chris Hemsworth, obviously!
Third, Hulk!

@Matchesz - oh yes, I've met him, very tall and very good looking in person. And best of all, he was really friendly, and so nice to us fans... He's soooo appreciative towards the fans...

So that scene where Hela is chasing them through the portal is how Thor gets to Sakaar. But how does Hulk get there?

This movie looks good, but I hope they don't forget that Bruce Banner is one of the smartest people on earth. In the trailers and spots so far, he looks like he's the idiot comic relief in this movie.

@Omegacron - TOTALLY nameless! Well, expect for at least "two" names, right?
