Whilst browsing, I managed to come across these pictures on Transormers World. looks like Optimus Prime hasn't changed from the original design (damn straight) but Ratchet is now sporting a white coat with green flames. Looking pretty cool if I do say so myself. There was also an Ironhide shot that was worth throwing in.

The problem is NOT that these individuals were in it, but that they were the main protagonists, while the TFs were the supports. Bay had it backwards(aside from other fundemental problems).

@ chuck, i was just thinking about how i hate the flames they but on him, i think it dates him in the wrong way. they need to go back to the original red and blue.

what would be sweet is if Optimus has to hide at some point in the movie so he scans an older Mac truck which gives him the old look. that move alone could possibly save this entire franchise in my eyes.

Well I like the movies I can put aside all the crappy acting and sit threw it just to see transformers well transform. Plot holes this and that oh you did this to my transformers and you left this out bla bla bla. They are on the big screen looking awesome. At least they got that far. Look at these movies for what they are worth and enjoy them.

Hell I think they did a crappy jobs with energon and that whole line up. cant wait for the new carton coming out soon

The only way I think I'll enjoy 3 is if Unicron comes to Earth. The good guys need to suffer some permanent casualties. The only Autobots that've died thus far are Jazz and Jetfire, and I suppose Optimus (even though he was revived). And maybe those 2 Arcee twins that got smoked in the final battle, but we don't really know if they survived or not.

Bring Unicron to the table and the shit's really gonna hit the fan. Where else can they go with it now that'll shock and awe us? :/

I don't know if anyone noticed but look at the colors on the truck hauling them. I know it's a long shot and probably not the case but could that be a certain City Commander? Would be kinda cool if they finally bring him in.

haha yeah i never really thought about how goofy skid and mudflap looked in the movie lol. but they were cool. i really wish they didnt kill jazz i mean hes second in command and they killed him? he is one of the main ones and plays a big role i cant believe they did that. i dont see why they didnt bring him back with that little all spark chip they totally could have.

Yep! I would have done the something like the translucent face of the IRobots for all
of the transformers.

Autobot and Decepticon alike. How deceptive can they be when they're all spikey. Only I would make their eyes opaque of blue or red.

GUNSMITH- you forgot dog humping and there must be "ball humor" every 5 minutes. Their faces looked like that because ole' Mikey wanted them to look alien.

odie00- Mudflap and skids were not cool and they look like gremlin characters from Gremlins 2. Jazz died as a tribute to the original actor who played him, Scatman Crothers.

Where are the green flames? I see a green hummer with a streak of white in the middle. It still looks good though. My vote would be for the dinobots to be thrown into the mix. I think Unicron is too much, especially since a bunch of people associated with the movie said they are focusing more on the characters rather than the robots. But if they did include him it would be great.

They are alien robots that have disguised themselves to blend in. Why wouldn't they transform their faces to cultivate trust among their Human allies? It only makes sense. All cultures do it to some degree.

Phineas@ I totally agree with you on your 1st point. I was having a debate with someone on another transformer post that it was my opinion that they made the plot ass-backward by making the humans the focal point of the script, rather than the robots themselves. The humans were always secondary, it's the fact that the robots have human personalities and emotions that make them interesting, they should've spent more time distinguishing them more than the people.

These movies blow.

I didn't mind the silly robots, and I wasn't offeneded by them, it shows diversity in the bot culture.... BUT they had waaay to much screen time. That screen time should have been used to build up the relationshiops of other robots characters, which is where the focus of these movie's should be. Oh I forgot... bubmble can't talk.... WTF? Smooth move exlax.

Screw the people... More robots (that talk) and more screen time of the Robots enteracting. Its seems like a nobrainer.

thatiscrazy@ i agree with you, screw the people, more talking robots! lol. I know i'm not the only person who couldn't distinguish any particular autobots/decepticons outside of prime, bumblebee, and megatron(r.i.p jazz). they all have distinct personalities, and i think Bay dropped the ball by not taking advantage of that. when they're fighting, it's just prime, & the other autobots, against megatron, and the other decepticons. they havent even gone further into starscreams constant scheming to take megatrons spot, I only hope they do a little better in the next movie.

im glad they didnt give bumblebee a voice because at the end of the first one he had a britsh voice and the guy that did his voice for that part is british and he played a decepticon in the second movie, i think thats why they made it so he didnt talk cause its funnier. bumblebee was always like the kid you know. and he would definitly NOT have a damn british accent.
