Say what you will about Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen, be it the obvious plot holes or the doggy dry humping scenes, Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen set out to be the number one 2009 Summer Movie Blockbuster popcorn flick in the United States Of America, and it did, not only the opening week, but also with a 61% drop in movie ticket sales the week after. That 61% drop in sales does not bode well for this movie's staying power. This weekend will tell the tale.

I'm really getting sick of the whole bay is crap nonsense. many here cant even hold a camera to shoot a documentary about the life of ducks, and yet a man has executed an xplosive blockbuster and we are quick to bash it because it isnt what we exactly wanted. well i guess the box office figures proves to u haters that you are totally in the minority, and every1 else loves this. u whiners have to start accepting that the world is bigger than you and your selfish wants.
out here in Nigeria we love Bay cos he delivers just what is expected-explosions! if i wanted great story, drama or oscar worthy perfomance i'd watch Benjamin Burton. Bay nailed this good and i see the figures rising to 'bout 800 Mill. y'all need to relax and enjoy these movies than nitpick at each flaw.

Thts all it was a popcorn flick..I was expecting a little dribble from Bay but that movie had waaaaay to much comic relief, dumb dumb characters, and not enough transformers screen time. 2 stars at best

Having finally seen the Transformers over the holiday weekend, I can finally comment on it fairly. Overall, I thought it was enjoyable. I certainly saw plot holes in it, but this movie is held to a different standard. We got what we paid for here: giant robots beating the crap out of each other and Megan Fox in plenty of shots that will wear out the pause and slo-mo features of my dvd player. You don't go to a movie like this expecting anything really thought-provoking. This is just old-fashioned fluff, and as such, it worked just fine.

I enjoyed the good robot-on-robot action scenes, and didn't really mind the Twins that much (they were a minor distraction sometimes, but I've seen characters that were far more annoying). Most of the scenes that featured the robots fighting or interacting with each other and the humans were effective. I did NOT like Sam's roommate- what a whiny little poser- and I thought the giant balls on Devastator was pretty stupid. And didn't the Primes look like they all had big schlongs?

It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't amazing either. Once again it was too much "Sam and his robotic friends", but that was to be expected. The fight scenes were good, but...I dunno. It just wasnt as good as I was hoping.
Also some of the humor was actually pretty funny, but a lot of it fell short. One thing that kinda confused me was the amount of innappropriate humor and cussing. It didn't bother me, but wasn't this movie marketed towards kids?
