When last we saw the ever-tenacious Morgan (Lennie James) on The Walking Dead, he was tending to an injured Carol, and had just encountered a couple of armoured gentlemen believed to be from The Kingdom.

Since Morgan is looking fit and healthy in this new pic, it's probably safe to assume that those "Knights" took the pair with them to meet Ezekiel, who has been confirmed to make his debut during season 7. Of course, whether Carol and Morgan finally manage to sort out their differences remains to be seen.

It's been announced that the first season 7 trailer will premiere during The Walking Dead's San Diego Comic-Con panel, which will take place on Friday, July 22 at 1 p.m. PT in Hall H. Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Chandler Riggs, Michael Cudlitz, Sonequa Martin-Green, Christian Serratos, Ross Marquand, Josh McDermitt, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan have all been confirmed to appear.

His character is needed for the growth of the story. Rick's group made some highly uncharacteristic bonehead moves time and time again last season that got a lot of them killed and ultimately captured. Had they listened to Morgan, they wouldn't find themselves in that mess. Had Morgan not gone after Carol, they would not know about the other communities in the area. Morgan will have a big role to play in the story to come. And the story itself has shifted from survival against mindless zombies and shifted the focus to how humanity will survive and the lengths they will go to survive during a catastrophic incident. We cant really call Rick's group the good guys anymore due to their willingness to murder all of Negan's group members in the compound, even murder the members that saved the lives of Carol and Maggie from the lunatic Neganite who wanted to kill them and be done with it.

AMC should do a Preacher, Walking Dead crossover. How awesome would that be?

People actually wanted Morgan's dumbass to return. Then they quickly started wishing he'd go the hell away.

I think he's a great character. People just want simplistic "tough guys" to populate the show, but Morgan is more complex and layered. I don't even agree completely with his philosophy, but it's definitely made things interesting.
