So recently, I got a heads up from an employee who works at the goliath toy industry, Toy Vault, who just so happened to hit me up with some breathtaking (sorry PaulRom hehe) news about Todd McFarlane's The Walking Dead 5 inch figures based on the TV series. As some may know, the Comic Series line of The Walking Dead figures was cancelled due to budget cuts (i.e., Spawn.com here awhile back ago deleted their forums to save a little cash), even though they confirmed they would make a series 2 wave consisting of 2 walkers, Shane and the Governor. But, graciously, we still have the TV Series, which just made it's way into your local Wal-Mart. Below is a list of the future toys coming out starting in September 2012. Um I guess [SPOILERS] are ahead, but for Odin's sake, they're just toys!

Toy Vault Series 6
This is going to be everyone's favorite series......

Now, the "it" that informed me of this said he'd... Erm... It, would give me the specifics on series 6, as well as 2 packs and other exciting things McFarlane has planned for everyone's favorite zombie series as soon as they get in. Sadly, he was not able to get phots from the flyer he recieves, because, as at most jobs, he was not allowed to have any type of phone or electronic device on the premise.

And if you somehow have not seen this series yet, do! It is arguably one of the best TV shows on air right now.

AMC's the Walking Dead starts back up this fall with it's 3rd season! And be sure to visit your local Comic Book Shop for the critically acclaimed series by the same name by Robert Kirkman!

Okay. Again....I call bullshit.

For one thing: McFarlane isn't exactly known for continuing a series beyond series 1 or 2. See; Lost, Beowulf, Simpsons, Hanna-Barbera, etc.

So, they sure as hell aren't planning 6 series into the future...and especially with characters that aren't even on the show yet OR have just been announced. This sounds like a bullshit wish list madeby a fanboy.

2) You can't even get the fact right that it was Riot Gear Glen Governor, and 2 walkers in comic book series 2.

3) How does someone work AT the toy industry? And what exactly does Toy Vault (a toy company) have to do with McFarlane Toys (a completely seperate toy company)? They're not distributors.
Again, bullshit.

Blanka1212 Response

1) You obviously have not cared to look up McFarlane's latest work, not only have they made countless Halo 3 waves of figures, but also Halo Reach and they are gonna continue with Halo 4. That is well over 25-30 waves for just one series.

2)Don't blame that on the guy who gave me the info, that was on me. I mixed up the series. For comic series wave 2, it was Riot Gear Glenn and the Governor, and for the TV series it was Shane and originally Andrea.

3)Someone has to come up with sculpts, and process everything, etc. The fellow who gave me this info has to approve what will be sold, McFarlane toys sent him the list and pics of the prototype figures. Sort of a review type thing. And if you gave any type of shit to research your statement, Toy Vault is in association with McFarlane. They help them with protypes, sculpts, and merchandising.

If you do not believe what I message, wait till September and prove me wrong (Which is won't happen).
Anyways, thanks for commenting!

Tyrese,Baby Judy, Michonne JUST got cast, and Rick with removeable hand? Not on the show.

And Toy Vault has NO affiliaton with McFarlane Toys. NONE. Raven Hood, who works there has worked with McFarlane many years ago. Maybe, MAYBE they act as a distribution internationally, but they certainly do not handle sculpts and processing WHAT gets sold.

By the way, show me where it says Toy Vault does prototypes, sculpts, and merchandising for McFarlane.

By the way, Matt aka Spark800Reviews....maybe your shtick works on YouTube....but it won't here. You're 13 years old, and have nothing beter to do.

PS everyone... Matt here's "source"? His mom.

Don't believe him.

That wave, with Ricks's removable hand, I believe is from the Comic series, they have transitioned it in to the TV wave.

That is who I was referring to, Raven Hood, He's been in good keeps with Todd, and yes, Todd does/did go to him for sculpts, etc. In fact, I believe Hood helped in creating the Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary's Master Chief figure, as well as helped design the blueprints for the figure.

And I got my source from the forums of Urban Collector, Sparks800Reviews said something about it in a comment section on a youtube video, and I messaged him if he could give me the specifics as far as the weapons and accessories go. And I have no idea what you are implying, but I can assure you I am not Sparks800Reviews, I'm ExuberantMonkey on youtube (My Xbox GT) and just FYI I am a 24 year old Architect in Oklahoma. If I am correct, the person who emailed me the update on Urban Collector is RaidensMysticalFury73, If I am not mistaken.

Are any of the figures you just listed from the tv series?

@Blanka1212 Aren't you the asshole from NECA's twitter and facebook page?
TheGambitFreak
TheGambitFreak - 3/22/2012, 1:14 PM
hellrmrsir Yes sir. Series 2 and 4 are definitely from the show, Series 3 and 5 are from the comic series that got cancelled, and most likely will be transferred to the TV series, just with different head sculpts, I am not one to believe McFarlane would throw away prototypes, especially with the crisis their in right now.
hellrmrsir
hellrmrsir - 3/22/2012, 1:27 PM
@TheGambitFreak: So series 3 and 5 are comic characters with the tv series characters head sculpts?
TheGambitFreak
TheGambitFreak - 3/22/2012, 6:39 PM
hellrmrsir Uh, well I'm guessing. It's not like McFarlane would throw away the figures from the comic series. I'm sure they'll transfer them.
