In this scene from the next ep of AMC's horror series, we see a character begin to let the pressure get the better of him as T-Dog becomes paranoid... and a cliche while he's at it.

I think this is pretty silly. Surely having the only black guy in the group suffer from racial paranoia has been done to death? It's also not in keeping with T-Dog's character at all so far. Now maybe he's just distraught after his arm being cut open and feeling the pressure, and obviously the scene needs to be watched in context with the entire episode but to me this just seems like lazy writing. What do you guys think?

I DID like T-Dog but this is ridiculous. If they had to make him become paranoid at least be original about it. Have him feel left out and because Dale is old and he is hurt..not because Dale is old and he is BLACK!

With that nasty tear in his arm, he's lost alot of blood and probably a little delirious. Also he like the others are all tired, so that could explain alot. It's sad that so far the kids of the show are suffering the most. Sophia still missing and Carl's hanging on to life. If Carl does live, he's not been through the worse yet. For those that read the books, you know what I mean. But this premiere was the best so far!

I thought he was gonna die for sure in the last episode. It does feel like lazy writing because I'm pretty sure everyone was over the whole black and white thing after the roof accident.

After watching this I dont think its out of T-Dogs character...maybe its a side of his character we've not seen too much...but look back over season 1 and its there..

Also he does seem to be acting all sketchy and out of breath...I recon this'll be from lose of blood...

I did some research and it seems he may be suffering from blood poisoning which is causing this rant..ok, i'll relent on that as far as the character goes. But it's still woefully cliched.

@ Cassidy, I think you're reading too much into it. To pretend that race won't enter any conversation is unrealistic. It's obvious that season two begins to see a breakdown in relationships [much like the books]. The above video and conversation makes complete sense and Cassidy I believe you are hiding behind your TRUE feelings by negating this clip and calling it lazy. Cassidy, all you are doing is attempting to start a fire.

How is this irresponsible or biased? It's my opinion on a cliche in a tv series! It's nothing to do with race and everything to do with resorting to lazy character stereotypes. YOU are the hone that is trying to make this into something else.

Yeah it looks like hes just being delirious.

Honestly, though, the way Season 1 ended I dont really blame him for being paranoid. When the blonde chick wanted to kill herself Dale pulled out all the stops to get her to leave with him. When the black chick decided to stay and die they just let her. If I was suffering from blood loss that would probably get me paranoid too.

Oh God, that Mexican gang episode was painful. I respected their reasons, but they all just looked like such... lame stereotypes.

I'm honestly in awe T-Dog is still alive. I'd laugh pretty hard if he's the last one standing by the series finale. I didn't expect him to make it through his introduction.

That's not about him being black, it's mostly just... you know... they're not in the comics, they're expendable.

Bring on Tyrese and Micchone. Oh God, if Tyrese hooks up with Sophia's mom I'll throw up in my mouth a little.
