THE WALKING DEAD: Bid Farewell To Glenn As Steven Yeun Covers The Latest Edition Of Entertainment Weekly

Look, Abraham was an awesome character, but losing Glenn was the real kick in the teeth (or should that be bat in the head?) for fans during this past Sunday's season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead.

Though readers of the source material had a fair idea it was coming, seeing someone as noble as Glenn - who had been a mainstay on the show right from the beginning - going out in such brutal fashion simply wasn't an easy thing to process... and not just for viewers.

In a new interview with EW, Steven Yeun shares his thoughts on leaving Glenn and his castmates behind:

“I don’t know if I’ve fully processed it yet. This is something that will hit me maybe a couple of months from now. Or maybe it’ll hit me next year. Maybe it’ll be when I’m 45 and all of a sudden I’m just crying in my kitchen and I can’t explain why. At that point, it was beautiful in that it was so easy for me to get emotional. Personally, for me, I’m not one to cry all the time. I don’t cry much in real life. And when you do not cry in real life, the moments that you do cry are very, very fulfilling and cathartic. You realize, maybe I should cry more in general.”

For more be sure to pick up the latest issue of EW. The Walking Dead returns this Sunday with it's second season 7 episode, "The Well."
