Victor Scalise must love his job. He is the visual director for The Walking Dead's special effects department and in this new featurette from AMC, he shows us how he and the rest of the team increase the intensity of the show using CGI walkers, landscapes and more.

The zombies were created using motion-capture actors down in Los Angeles so using this method allows them to create a variety of movements to use on different walkers that are computer generated. He also shows us how the infamous prison scene was created.
What did he have to say about Season 3?

"Last season we had a lot of killing...this season we'll have a lot more"

The Walking Dead is an American post-apocalyptic horror television series developed for television by Frank Darabont. It is based on the comic book series, The Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard.

The series stars Andrew Lincoln as Sheriff's Deputy Rick Grimes who wakes up after being in a coma to find the world dominated by "walkers", resembling the zombies of George A. Romero's horror movies. He sets out to find his family and other survivors along the way.

Not sure I'm happy about more cgi being used, obvusly will still watch and love the show. But it was the realism in the make up of the zombies that really made it work! Anyone have a YouTube link for the video?

Worst acting on television, though I am looking forward to the prison saga.

I hope Daryl doesn't die this season.
T-Dog is such a pointless character. The guy who plays him is pretty good actor though.

There were a lot of zombies and a lot of deaths during their time at the Prison in the books. It will be nice to see a lot of that transition to the show for season 3, instead of a big slow down and build up like last season.

This will become the greatest show ever if T-Dog dies. He is the most useless character on the show and does nothing except run away like a little pussy.

@CaptainObvious Things with T-Dog should get real interesting this season with Merle's return - can't wait!

Merle's return may mean a bad thing for T-Dog, although if Merle really will end up succeeding in getting his revenge on him, I'd like to see his character being fleshed out first. Or, at least, just give him the proper screen time.

If they kill Daryl...no, they won't. Oh, please, don't.
