BLACK PANTHER Star Michael B. Jordan's FAILSAFE Adaptation Is Heading To Netflix

Michael B. Jordan could soon be starring in another big comic book project, with Netflix winning the rights to his adaptation of the Vault Comics series Failsafe.
Jordan is already producing the series with Alana Mayo and will decide whether or not he's taking the lead role once the script is finished. The show's script is being written by another Black Panther alum, Joe Robert Cole, who co-wrote the hit Marvel movie's screenplay with director Ryan Coogler.
The series was pitched in the aftermath of Black Panther's enormous box office success, with several other networks in the running to land the project before Netflix was named the winner.
Failsafe is a 2017 comic series written by F.J. DeSanto and Todd Farmer. The series tells the story of insurgent hunter John Ravane, who after executing what he thought was the last nanotech-enhanced super soldier, is immersed in a conflict between the soldiers he once hunted and a corrupt government.
With Jordan being one of the hottest names in Hollywood right now, currently filming Creed 2 and set to star in HBO's Fahrenheit 451 movie this spring, it will likely take a pretty good script for him to take the role. However, since he has a history with Cole and a personal stake in the project, there seems to be a good chance we'll see him as John Ravane.
