After the conclusion of a great season five, Arrow has been decent in the early half of season six. While season six has relied heavily on Black Siren being a secondary villain, Arrow will be debuting its big bad in episode six, otherwise titled, 'Promises Kept'.

The synopsis for episode six suggests that Team Arrow will be going up against Richard Dragon, who will be referred to as "The Dragon" on Arrow.

As Slade continues to uncover clues about his son's last few years, Oliver makes a big decision. Meanwhile, the Green Arrow leads the team into battle against "The Dragon," a villain who is stealing valuable tech in Star City.

Here's what we know about Richard Dragon being on Arrow. He will be quite different to his interpretation from the comics, but will still be familiar enough for fans of the New 52 Green Arrow: Broken graphic novel. This version of Richard Dragon is
described as "a hardened ex-con recently released from prison for crimes he didn't commit", who is also "bent on taking over Star City's criminal underground" and "a master in hand-to-hand combat, honed years of life on the street."

Following that description of the character, it seems that the writers of Arrow are taking a bit of inspiration from the New 52 story I mentioned earlier. That's definitely a good thing as the story has been heavily praised by critics and fans. The description of the character also makes it apparent that "The Dragon" will be a more realistic villain than previous villains on the show.

In an interview with Comicbook.com, Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim reveals, that unlike past villains on Arrow, Richard will be more grounded:

"You know, what I really like about our interpretation of Richard is, he's very grounded... He's not a flamboyant big bad, he doesn't wear a costume, he really is a crime-lord sort of in the Tobias Church model. For Tobias we only really saw for about five episodes, so we were excited about the prospect of doing a cool, gritty crime-lord, but for a longer period of time. We've never really done that on the show before, so it's different."
