CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS Part Four & Part Five Synopses Promise To Change The DC TV Landscape Forever

With just around three weeks to go, The CW has released the plot descriptions for "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Four" and "Part Five," which tease an epic conclusion to the five-part crossover event.

"Worlds lived, worlds died. Nothing will ever be the same."

...and, just like that, The CW has shared an ominous preview of what's to come in the final two hours of the ongoing "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover event.

Now, while the aforementioned quote is all we get for "Part Five," the synopsis for "Part Four" offers a bit more on what to expect as it essentially confirms that Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) has indeed become something else (The Spectre!?) and his timing couldn't be better as the Paragons - minus a suddenly missing Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) - look for a way to escape the Vanishing Point.

Plus, it also sounds like the first half of the two-part finale will delve into the past of both The Monitor (LaMonica Garrett) and The Anti-Monitor (LaMonica Garrett).

Meanwhile, the origin stories for The Monitor (guest star LaMonica Garrett) and Anti-Monitor are revealed. Glen Winter directed the episode written by Marv Wolfman & Marc Guggenheim (#808). Why does every article about Crisis on Infinite Earths start with "And, just like that.."?

@SpiderParker - its based on something The Monitor said in the beginning of this season of Arrow.

Damn, so after January, the Arrowverse will be divided into Pre-Crisis and Post-Crisis realities. I'd love it if they took the opportunity and brought some real change to the structure of these shows (with the exception of Legends: they're perfect).

I hope Oliver stays the Specter for a while.
And also that Mia gets AIDS.

I was really hoping that the entirety of the CW verse would get merged into one reality. One Earth. Open up the stories of all the series to mini crossovers at any time. We will just have to wait and see if that happens. It seems a waste to NOT do that though.

@pclark - Yeah, it was cool at first with the whole universe hopping to get Supergirl, but I agree, would be good if they all just inhabited the same universe. I mean, it's hardly like they'll do away with multiple universes, that has been an integral part to the overall CW story, but would be good to have Supergirl and Black Lightening share the same on as the other CW shows.

@pclark - won’t happen Supergirl currently has a big bad on her earth 🌍 that’s left unresolved. Lucifer proves that multiple earths will return. Because if not then it would have been discussed on Lucifer show since this took place roughly 8 years in the past on his show.

@whynot - I am unsure why or how they would have suggested that there are superheroes in the Lucifer continuity. But as Lucifer runs on a completely different network/streaming service we could hardly expect that his appearance in Crisis was anything more than just a nice cameo/easter egg. But I was simply referring to the bulk of the main CW Berlanti universe shows. Not every DC show ever. That would be totally unrealistic to expect.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, next season has to introduce the Crime Syndicate. Then have Dean Cain as Ultraman and Teri Hatcher as Superwoman. It also would be great to see Michael Rosenbaum as Alexander Luthor. That would be a great crossover event.

I do wonder who would be the best choice for Johnny Quick and Power Ring though. Seeing as they brought in Kevin Conroy for this crossover, I wonder if someone from Green Lantern: The Animated Series could make an appearance too.

@BlackIceJoe -

I think they are going to go smaller next season and just come up with new villains and not more
Doppelgangers.

@BlackIceJoe - Dean Cain probably wont be back ANY time soon

@Himura - Might I ask why you think that is? Unless I missed something, the only reason why I can think that, is because he is an independent voter and not a Democratic one.

@WarnerBrother - Hopefully they won't go smaller, because then everything going forward will be compared to Crisis on Infinite Earths and not in a good way.

@BlackIceJoe - I would love to see Crime Syndicate as the villains for the next crossover. Hopefully, it will happen at some point

@BlackIceJoe - You have some unrealistically high expectations, especially with those casting choices
BlackIceJoe
BlackIceJoe - 12/24/2019, 9:53 PM
@comicfan100 - Not necessarily, Dean and Teri have been on Supergirl. As for Michael he said he'd have been in the Crisis of Infinite Earths crossover, but he wanted more than just a blink and you'll miss it scene. So it is possible they could be in the next crossover.
BlackIceJoe
BlackIceJoe - 12/24/2019, 9:54 PM
@giannis - Hopefully, because there is huge potential with seeing a world where the heroes are the villains.
