@TheUnworthyThor - nah, BL has better powers. Way more powerful.

@TheUnworthyThor - BL can turn into literal lightning, run as fast as Lightning, travel trough electricity, is way stronger, he resurrected Superman after he got exposed to kryptonite. He can literally use Black Lightning, a mystical power in which is basically like lightning, except it bends the laws of physics, is extremely smarter (just thought I'd add that in there, I know ones a kid and ones a teacher), he can teleport, literally surf on a lightning bolt, he is the master of electricity of all kinds. He can store more (next to unlimited), and can release more. He can also detect people by the electricity within the human body, locate people, control people's body by stoping there muscles from contracting and moving them however he wants. Has a healing factor. He can actually fly, without using a board. Those sound pretty cool to me. I know both characters well. Only thing Static can do that BL can't, is that Static is a little better at electromagnetic stuff (given the name), and he can listen to radio waves (which BL can do too, he just hasn't done it yet in any form of electricity. But you know, Static had a cartoon so he's automatically better. Right? Nostalgia > Facts apparently

@KermitTheFraud - Wow, a superfan, I dig it. But actually I haven’t seen the Static Shock cartoon, it was after my time. Did Black Lightning develop a lot of those powers well after his introduction, I haven’t seen him do a lot of that stuff? And better than Living Lightning!? Miguel is going to be crushed.

Although again I don’t think being more powerful really makes for a better character. Flying is obviously more useful but there is just something awesome about swinging on a web. And being bulletproof is great but there is a huge appeal to seeing someone with a healing factor instead.

But I guess really is there anything one or the other can do that the other couldn’t potentially do even if we haven’t seen it yet (except I guess mystical lightning)?

I thought Static was smarter though, being like some kid genius (although Black Lightning is also very smart)?
