Ahead of tomorrow night's installment of Black Lightning, The CW has released two sweet new posters for their latest superhero series. The first features Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams) front-and-center while the second brings forth the entire family as he unites with his two daughters, Jennifer (China Anne McClain) and Anissa (Nafessa Williams).

Unlike the other CW shows, Black Lightning will continue to air new episodes through February and will only take a one-week hiatus on February 20.

Check out the new posters below:

"Black Jesus" - (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, LV) (HDTV)

BACK IN TOWN - Black Lightning (Cress Williams) is recruited to rally against The 100 gang. Anissa (Nafessa Williams) investigates the new drug hitting the streets. Meanwhile, familiar faces begin to reappear. Christine Adams, James Remar, Damon Gupton III and Marvin Jones also star. The episode was written by Pat Charles and directed by Michael Schultz (#104). Original airdate 2/6/2018.

Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams) is a man wrestling with a secret. As the father of two daughters and principal of a charter high school that also serves as a safe haven for young people in a New Orleans neighborhood overrun by gang violence, he is a hero to his community. Nine years ago, Pierce was a hero of a different sort. Gifted with the superhuman power to harness and control electricity, he used those powers to keep his hometown streets safe as the masked vigilante Black Lightning. However, after too many nights with his life on the line, and seeing the effects of the damage and loss that his alter ego was inflicting on his family, he left his Super Hero days behind and settled into being a principal and a dad. Choosing to help his city without using his superpowers, he watched his daughters Anissa (Nafessa Williams) and Jennifer (China Anne McClain) grow into strong young women, even though his marriage to their mother, Lynn (Christine Adams), suffered. Almost a decade later, Pierce’s crime-fighting days are long behind him…or so he thought. But with crime and corruption spreading like wildfire, and those he cares about in the crosshairs of the menacing local gang The One Hundred, Black Lightning returns — to save not only his family, but also the soul of his community.

Black Lightning features:
Cress Williams as Jefferson Pierce/Black Lightning
China Anne McClain as Jennifer Pierce
Nafessa Williams as Anissa Pierce
Christine Adams as Lynn Pierce
James Remar as Peter Gambi
Damon Gupton as Henderson

Black Lightning returns with an all-new episode February 6

Good. Hopefully now he'll get the spotlight of his own show because I wanna watch Black Lightning, not Lesbian Thunder

I'm enjoying this show. I'm not yet sold on their villains, but I like the family aspect.

@knocturnalzen10 - No it wont be taken away. I felt leary about the pilot ep but the rest have been great drama for me. What about the show is a turn off for you (if you don't mind me asking)?

@knocturnalzen10 - Wow wow wow, not liking this show makes you a racist, and that's the end of it. I don't care if you're black. Same if you happen to somehow not think Black Panther is a masterpiece, if I were you, I would keep it to myself lol Quite a few people here who this sketch sums up perfectly:

@AreTudaEDub @asturgis - i was joking actually bored at work lol it looks way to hokie for me unfortunately but i'll give it a chance this weekend to say i tried ....haven't watched it yet

@asturgis i get what you're getting at and yes some can be a bit much ... but i still where they come from mindset wise ..... others on here don't want bp to just not do well which can be a bit confusing to me

@knocturnalzen10 - Black Lightning is very surprising, honestly. I really dislike the Arrowverse, but Black Lightning is surprisingly more of a Netflix show. It doesn't shy away from violence, real issues, the writing is mature, the acting on point (for such a show), you wanna see where it goes. It's a real surprise for me. I would recommend you tried the first 2 episodes! If you didn't know it was on the CW, honestly, you would never guess it.

As far as people wanting BP to fail, lol, well good luck with that. I'm seeing it tomorrow night and I'm really, really excited.

Three episodes in and I'm just not feeling it. It's devoid of fun. I was hoping it would get out of its cliché rut, but it looks like it wants to live there. Think this is where I check out on this one.

@rabid - "It's devoid of fun."

Oh, this. THIS! It's just too serious. It's like watching New Jack City or Boyz in the Hood, starring a guy who very sparingly uses his super powers. Is it me, or does he almost look like he's doing a dance, when he uses his powers? There's too much politics/social issues, too (Supergirl suffers this same problem). Just have Tobias make some robots and send them to destroy Black Lightning.

The writing is strong, but it's not comic-booky.

This show is awesome!! I take it much more seriously than the other CW shows. When someone get a shot it means something and powerful, and sometimes scary. Plus no time travel or parallel universes. Honestly I'm fine with them not crossing over with the other shows.
