BLACK LIGHTNING Promo Image Gives Us A First Look At Jennifer Pierce Suited-Up As Lightning

In the season 2 mid-winter finale of Black Lightning, Jefferson's daughter Jennifer took her final steps towards picking up a superhero mantle of her own, and now we have our first look at Lightning!

Ever since developing powers of her own on The CW's Black Lightning, Jennifer Pierce (China Anne McClain) has struggled to come to terms with her new-found status and has had trouble controlling her abilities. However, it looks like Jenn's going to fully embrace being a superhero when the show returns from its mid-winter hiatus.

The CW has revealed a new promo still which gives fans a first glimpse of Pierce in full costume as Lightning.

Jennifer is not in her parent's good books at the moment having been banned from their home after hooking up with Painkiller, but it seems apparent that the troubled teen is going to turn away from that darker path and join her sister Anissa as a costumed crime-fighter.

What do you guys make of our first look at Lightning? Drop us a comment down below.

If they don’t have Black Lightning in the Infinite Earths crossover, it’ll literally be segregation at that point, lol. Don’t screw this up CW.

In the end Jennifer did end up cutting her hair. :P

I like it, just gotta catch up with this week's mid-Season finale and I'll get the better picture of what is coming next year.

This show got CANCELLATION all over it.
I mean, if they could do DareDevil dirty like that... i mean come on. Y'all know it's true.
I personally sense a semblance of affirmative action with regards to it's longevity thus far.
Yep. Fight me. Controllers, Fortnite, NOW!

I do like everybody say about BL trip on the over the top scenes good plot but they turned it into I would say Micky Mouse show but Micky is doing great. It's funny that's not a lie. If Marvel did this they would have no fans hell Black Panther suit wasn't finished these people like to had a heart attack.

Wow. Some of these comments make me cringe.

Anyway, I'm slightly behind but I'm loving the costume. I enjoy BL a lot. Looking forward to see Lightning in action.

She better only go out superhero-ing at night because anyone with a brain would be able to see that that is Jennifer Pierce lmao

@MrCamw1 - Lol I thought that same thing when I typed the comment.

But seeing these domino masks make me question why they don't try and put the white eyes/lenses like how they usually show them in comics/cartoons.

My only guess is that having the eyes show, it helps the actors express more emotion.

@Snowbirdd - true. I dont know at this pount I give these shows a pass. Also to your emotions point Hawke and Dove in Titans have the domino masks (ish) and theres not much expression coming from them.
