We recently learned that Doom Patrol will return for its highly-anticipated third season on September 23, and HBO Max has now shared a series of character posters to accompany the recent trailer.

These banners spotlight Robot Man, Crazy Jane, Elasti-Woman, Cyborg, Negative Man, and the latest addition to this island of misfit toys, Madame Rouge (Michelle Gomez). Typically depicted as a villain in the comics, there's a lot of speculation that this mysterious time-traveller will ultimately betray the team by leading them into a trap set by the Brotherhood of Evil.

The recently released teaser saw Rouge arrive at Doom Manor via time-machine to warn the team about the threat posed by these new baddies, and we got our first proper look at the likes of Brain, his gorilla assistant Monsieur Mallah, and various other weird and wonderful creatures. Will the reluctant heroes decide to suit-up and become an actual super-team in an effort to combat the forces of darkness? Tune in later this month to find out!

Check out the posters below along with the trailer.

Season three opens on the culmination of Dorothy’s (Abi Monterey) confrontation with the Candlemaker that leads to a devastating loss. The Doom Patrol is at a difficult crossroads and each member struggles to face who they are and who they want to be. And things get a whole lot more complicated when Madame Rouge (Michelle Gomez) arrives in a time machine with a very specific mission, if only she could remember it.

Larry Trainor/Negative Man (Matt Bomer), Cliff Steele/Robotman (Brendan Fraser), Elasti-Woman (April Bowlby), Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero), The Chief (Timothy Dalton), and Victor Stone/Cyborg (Joivan Wade) are all set to return. Tell us, did you watch the first two seasons of Doom Patrol? If so, what did you think? Drop us a comment in the usual place.

Not sure why she has a Scottish accent instead of a french one. On the Teen Titans animated show she had a Russian one for some reason.

The time machine stuff with Rita doesnt give me hope they'll get her to her superpowered self finally.

Season 2 was a letdown to me and I'm cautiously optimistic it will pick back up.
