To the delight of many comic book fans, DC’s super-powered team Doom Patrol will finally receive their very own live-action TV series next year on the DC Universe streaming service, and a few of the members will even make their debut on the upcoming Titans.

However,  there are some characters – including Crazy Jane – who will have to wait until 2019 to get their time to shine. Thankfully, ahead of her first big live-action appearance, a new character breakdown provides us with some details on the show's depiction of Jane.

According to That Hashtag Show, Kay Challis, a.k.a Crazy Jane, is being depicted as a sexy woman in her 20s, who like her comic book counterpart, has multiple personalities. Also, as many expected, the Grant Morrison and Richard Case creation will be a series regular. Finally, the site learned that this small-screen incarnation of Jane will be “a bit of a Harley Quinn-esque character."

Crazy Jane is just one of the major characters Doom Patrol is in the process of casting, as the series is currently looking at actors for the role of Cyborg and is reportedly eyeing Kelsey Grammer to portray The Chief.

The multiple super powered personalities is a dope attribute. One we dont see in media right now.

Hopefully they cast an actress with range.

Who is even making this show? I know Berlanti, Goldsman, and Geoff Johns are producing Titans with Goldsman likely as the front man for showrunner, so I imagine some of the talent will be producers on Doom Patrol, but WHO is the man(or woman) in charge? On another note, if Titans ends up being as good as suggested by that "leak", then Doom Patrol is shooting up to my most anticipated list, especially if Kelsey Grammar gets cast. Also, justice for Cyborg please.

@ScarletWarlock - hope to God they get someone besides Berlanti to showrun.

@BlackBeltJones - Same. Luckily, he seems to be only a producer on Titans. Lets hope his involvement ends there. Heck, even if I was the only one that doesn't care for his work, the television side of DC surely has to know they should diversify their talent? Berlanti has been involved with every single WB produced comic book show nearly, and that includes Riverdale. In the words of Cottonmouth, "this brother got more jobs than a Jamaican".

Stop thinking Harley as a comparison is the only way to get people hype. Jane has multiple super powered personalities.

She's dope on her own. Love it.

Crazy Jane is no Harley Quinn. She is basically female Legion.
Hope they won't make a ridicolous over-the-top version of the character.

First time I ever have heard about her because my knowledge of the Patrol just comes from Teen Titans and I was expecting to see Mento, not her.

Not complaining, it'll be a new experience.
