Judgement Day has arrived and that's really bad news for Detective Jim Gordon with a madman on the loose, seeking his head.

After last week's ominous tease, we're finally going to see Michael Chiklis make the full-on transformation from Nathaniel Barnes to The Executioner in next Monday's installment. Meanwhile, Gordon & Bullock learn the darkest secrets of Gotham City, Bruce Wayne takes the next step in his training, and the Riddler & Penguin are forced to team-up once again.

The following week, the situation gets even crazier when Fish Mooney makes a return and Gordon & Lee race against the clock to stop the release of the Alice Tetch virus.

Get your first look at Barnes as The Executioner (via ComicBook) below:

I'm glad this got renewed. Hopefully this will run to 9 seasons. Then Batman can make an appearance.

@KWilly - I expect that will be training for Batman. By the time the actor is actually in the suit the show will have to be in it's 9th season. Maybe 7th or 8th if they do a time jump.
